Don't know where you ended up, but Old City has plenty of available on street parking.  Generally 2-3 hour spaces, so pretty workable.

In the burbs, if you shade over into Plymouth Meeting with your hotel search, there are a lot of additional choices.  Once you're in the car in that area, PM is actually easier to get to and move around, I think.

I checked the KoP community websites and I didnt see anything out of the ordinary. This is a big week for school graduations, but not sure why that would affect KoP more than Philly, so I called one of the hotels in KoP. They didn't give a specific reason but just said they get a lot of businessmen this time of year for conferences. She did let me know that the her hotel (spring suites) was booked solid thru tomorrow but was available for the few days after that. I hope this is helpful.
