George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
About a year and a half ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) Americans were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...
But Americans wanted CHANGE! So, in 2006 they voted a Democratic Congress & yes, we got "CHANGE" all right!.....
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now close to $5 a gallon & climbing! (and the DIMS still won't allow drilling in the OCS);
3) Unemployment is at 5.5%;
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS & prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure(this could've been avoided if the DIMS approved the Foreclosure Protection Bill the first time around).
6) Yesterday, THE DOW was probing at a low~~10,962--$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!
YEP , IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE!...AND WE SURE AS HELL GOT IT!!!....NOW 'BO', the DIMS' CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT--AND THE POLLS SAY HE'S GONNA BE 'THE MAN'--CLAIMS HE'S GONNA REALLY GIVE US CHANGE!!....JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YA THINK YOU CAN STAND???.....

But you're still smarter and more articulate than Nancy Pelosi. Not only is she the worst Speaker of the House in history but she is most likely the dumbest. And the same goes for Harry Ried in the Senate.

"I think it's a combination of both the economy overall being in the doldrums and also certainly the high gas prices," said Donald Wolfensberger, director of the Congress Project at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
As the fights in Congress have grown more outwardly rancorous in recent decades, opinion of the institution has dropped, said Duke University political scientist David W. Rohde. In the past three years, the number has fallen steadily from the 30s to now the teens.
"Large segments of public opinion think it ought to be easy for Congress to work together to solve public problems," Rohde said. "And therefore if they disagree, there must be something wrong with Congress.".........
I see the conservative political strategy has been revised.
This sitting president is such a doofus, he can screw things up on his own.
