Philadelphia

If she's downtown the train is easiest.

If she has an incall in center city or Rittenhouse Square the the train is best.  If she has a rotating incall or you're willing to get the hotel, Wilmington would be easy.

I've had a few clients do the same for me before.  It really isn't a bad trip and even if the ride is a bit long it sounds like this lady is worth it so you'll be driving home with a smile on your face.  ;)

I have my eye on a lady I would be very willing to drive up and see.  But info/advice on the following would be helpful:

 - What would be the best time to schedule an appointment based on Traffic?

 - When is the worst time for traffic coming into Philly?

Add any other info/advice you think I need to know.

 Thanks fellow Mongers and Mongettes!

I think a nooner would probably be your best bet. You want to leave after rush hour in DC and Baltimore is over and get back before it starts.

Of course, the other alternative is the train, which gives you a WHOLE lot more flexibility.

Good luck!

See if the lady will meet you in the Wilmington, De. area. That will cut at least a 1/2 hr off your trip from going into Center City (Phily's downtown area.) and you won't have to deal with Phily traffic at all.

I am fairly certain Wilmington is considered the general Phily area, but a local here can correct me. There a few very nice hotels in the Wilm area.

I would do noon which another poster said, or since I think you may have a longer session in mind, a 4p-7p or something similar, would have you just missing rush hour traffic in both directions.

If Wilm. is a no go, the Phily airport area is just blocks off I-95 and about 20 mins north of Wilmington. Easy access, cheap or free parking there, a few nice hotels, no traffic and very reasonable hotel rates in that area.

Good luck.

Wilmington is about 90 mins by train, 2-1/2 hrs by car from DC. 30 mins drive from Philly to Wilmington, and an easy drive it is. I consider Wilmington to be more the Philly area/market than BMore.

Hotels range from excellent to moderate, and usually a bit less than a comparable Philly hotel. Some good restaurants as well, but can be a bit challenging to locate. I can provide hotel and restaurant suggestions via PM.

Just a note... it is easy to get from the Amtrak station to the downtown hotels, but if planning an evening out away from the hotel a car is probably a necessity, IMO. Wilmington is a bit spread out, and cabs are easy in the city center, but anywhere else they are sparse.

I anticipate I'll be doing this again so for the first visit I'm gonna drive.  After I kinda see what the lay of land is I'll be more comfortable with alternative travel and scheduling options.
