I could almost justify every loss this season...yesterday's however, I cant even explain. Having leads of 10-6, 17-13 and 24-20 in the 4th quarter, only to have the Raiders score TD's each time...in your house no less, is patently ridiculous.
Incredibly (or downright frustrating if your a Steeler fan), the Steelers have now lost 2 games in OT, 3 games by 3 pts when leading or tied in the final 15 seconds, and their 6th loss was by a mere 6 points. You want to play games close to the vest, you put yourself in a position to loose. That's what Pittsburgh has done all season.
That's why its so difficult to repeat as champs...everyone brings their A game against you.

AUGGGGGH! The Steelers cost me several hundred bucks yesterday with a disgusting loss. So much for 'Hell and Destruction' in December or whatever Tomlin said-Gradkowski, who sucked while in Tampa, is engineering game winning drives like Joe Montana-1rob...surly and poorer...OUT
Pittsburg is 1-5 without Polamalu. And he's not expected to play Thursday either. Hopefully (for them) he'll come back while they still have a chance for the playoffs.

In all seriousness, there problems go way beyond not having Troy in there. I am not even sure if the Steelers run the table (and why would I think they would do so the way they've played over the past month), that 10-6 gets them in.
They both trail Jacksonville and Denver by two games with four to play. The conference record which serves as a tie breaker for both teams is not very good as well.
