As much as I would like to see Rosalba receive a 10 for her performance, I am happy to see that Staff changed Nipps rating of her before it got published.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the downgrading of her to a solid 9.0.  It meets the rules and sets a good example for the rest of us to follow.  And in the long run, it will help her as well because hopefully it will reduce some of her competitors ratings below her.

Nipps words indicate that he submitted the review with a 10 and I agree with him that her performance is the best that I know of as well.

I just hope Staff remains as alert on other 10s in the future.

Personally, I have stopped providing reviews because of the "guidelines", or "censorship", or whatever you care to call it.

I've realized that I simply cannot provide the information that I care to, and appropriately evaluate a the experience of being with a professional lady under the current constraints.  So I no longer bother trying, except occassionally in these discussion boards.  And the fact that I, as well as some others that I know who have similar tastes in ladies, do not any longer provide reviews, this further biases the results, and renders them even more misleading and statistically skewed.  There is one particular set of skills that is being completely de-valued due to these guidelines, and that is the ability to provide a Courtesan experience.  Because the fact that I personally feel that a Courtesan experience FAR outweighs whether a BBBJ or Anal or Multiple partner experiences are offerred, but yet, a Courtesan experience without these things tops out at a 7, while an Anal provider, who also does BBBJ, and gang bangs can get a 10, this, as Mathesar can tell you, is an institutionally induced statistical bias, that renders the entire ratings system to be unreliable and nearly useless for someone with my personal predilections.  So I no longer contribute to it.

Why should I give a lady who provides what to me represents a 10 quality experience a score of just 7, or even provide fodder for the Staff to do it?  There is no reason to downgrade her in this way.

I've kept quiet on this subject, but I see that it won't just go away.

I'd "suggest" that anyone who reads a review NOT base thier decision on any numeric scale.

I've seen many opinions expressed-most of which are reasonable, about why the rating numbers are/or are not of value.

The best suggestion I've seen is to READ THE FULL REVIEW!

If yoy can't access the "juicy details" then either quit compalining, write some legitimate reviews or pay the membership fee. Sheesh, the amount you might lose on a bad experience outweighs the cost of joining.

As for those who won't post because of the required "expliciteness" in the guidelines, I ask how many older reviews you saw where the "details" include words such as "had a nice time", "wonderful experience", etc. If the reviewer didn't have a track history of several reviews, did you REALLY give serious consideration to the value of the review?

If you've been playing in San Diego for a while, youy begin to know who the "legit" ladies are and who the "ROB's" are. So most of you "old hands" don't really NEED reviews for San Diego, now do you?

BTW - In case anyone wonders, moderators are not allowed to post reviews. House rule to prevent any undue bias.

I'm a relatively new hobbyist (been in the hobby for only about 13 months or so).  However, I've taken the view that the ratings numbers shouldn't be taken literally.  The important things are:

1)  Read the review details.  Are there common threads throughout the reviews?
2)  Is there a pattern of good numbers in the ratings?  Are there mainly good numbers with one or two "flyers" that need to be taken with a grain of salt?
3)  Most importantly, are the reviews done by hobbyists with a verifiable pattern of posting useful reviews?  It would be most likely that a review is legit if the reviewer has shown a pattern of seeing and reviewing a number of providers.
4)  If there aren't enough reviews for a provider, do I know any hobbyists who have seen her and may not have posted a review?

IMHO, the ratings numbers are only part of the things needed to decide whether or not to see a provider.

Just my $0.02.

I guess I really have a different perspective on this entire topic.

I have watched several new providers launch their "careers" on TER.

Consequently the average ratings search tool gave a method by which their progress could be monitored.

What I am saying is that my posts about ratings have not been only about you guys and how to compare and find the best quality provider.

It is a way for the providers to monitor their quality in some other manner besides how busy they are, how much money they are making, etc.

Of course, there are those who don't care about their reviews, but then they would not be reading this, would they?

I have a new review where the gent rated me a ten on looks...very sweet but I don't agree with him he does however find me very beuatiful and he does make me feel like a raving beauty when I see him...got to love it even if it is a stretch :) I have had one or two others give me an average score and I suppose that was the case with them but I don't swing off chandeliers for those that don't really communicate what is is they desire...so yea perhaps it was average...those guys that rocked my world I rocked right back...so I would say reading a review and trying to establish the personality of a provider is your best bet. after all if she is your type upstairs she will most definately be your type downstairs...etc. etc. Some guys are capable of having a great time with more providers than some because right when they meet you they just make you feel sexy and beautiful and that is INSPIRING :) If you haven't seen the movie don juan de marco I highley reccomend it...Now he had the right attitude..plus it doesn't hurt if you look like johnny Depp
