IMO Obama is ALMOST surely the nominee...I just cannot believe that Hil&Bill are not going to continue their underhanded and sneaky ways of trying to get the nomination.

Hillary struck a deal to quit Thursday, so the Earth has started to heal, the oceans stopped rising, (easier to walk on water if it's not rising)sick people were made well, Lazarus arose, lepers shed their spots,(haha) swine ran over a cliff, etc. Although, as of late Friday night, these things hadn't started yet, but maybe once the weekend is over.........
What did happen,though, was when Hillary made a deal to unblock him, and it became clear he was surely the nominee, the stock market dropped 400 points, and it was predicted oil would go to $150a barrel.

Carter has a LOT of competition for worst of the last century, including Nixon, Harding, Hoover & Coolidge, depending on your criteria.

The poll you referenced was taken in 1982, only two years after Carter was mercifully dumped from office. Over time, its become much more clear just how much damage he did to the nation in only a scant four years.
The most recent poll (2005) in that same Wiki article shows Carter as 34th overall, second worst of all 20th C presidents. That's probably about right: only Harding would I surmise was worse (matching the poll), but for very different reasons than Carter. Your list of others in your other post for Coolidge, Nixon, Hoover etc, shows exactly where YOU stand.
Coolidge was in a very difficult position but did a good job restoring faith in the presidency after Harding's corruption, and Hoover cannot be blamed for the Depression - initially reports suggested it was just another mild recession (only a small percentage of Americans were directly involved in the stock market at the time) and the depths of the Depression were not felt until 1932. Unemployment actually rose further while FDR was in office, before it finally began to drift down, but did not return to "normal" until US mobilization into WWII.

I didn't reference or comment on any poll. I referenced an entire wikipedia article including SEVERAL polls, and many varying sources. Newspaper polls of random citizens are probably the least-informed - unless of course you're a Republiscum who pulls his information right out of his ass.
Historians are remarkably consistent over time and viewpoint (unless of course you realize that anybody who actually knows anything, or thinks without use of his ass is by definition a socialist) and generally regard Harding as pretty damn bad. My mention of particular ones was not to describe MY POV, but rather to point out that calling Carter the worst of the 20th century ignores so many others as to be incredible.
What we're talking about here is not your or my POV, but the usual consensus, and that excludes polls by USA Today, People Magazine, Oprah, and TER.
