Never been and always wanted to visit the Carolinas.

So, question to ya all .. July or August?  Oh, and where .. North? South?

North Carolina in the Wilmington area or South Carolina in the Myrtle Beach area. They are only about 70 miles apart. On the beaches can be a little pricey that time of year and busy. Both very attractive, like yourself.

I keep hearing wonderful things about the town !

someplace between Wilmington and Myrtle like Sunset beach or Carolina beach after Labor Day when you can get a house on the beach for 150-200 a night.  During the summer you will pay 2k a week or more.
If its for the hobby world Charlotte or Raleigh will probably get you the most business and are about a 3 to 4 hour drive from the coast if you choose to go.

I absolutely LOVE the mountains of Western NC. Whether you're vacationing with family or taking a working vacation, you'd adore the scenery here as well as the weather (we've typically 10 degrees cooler than the flatlands and far less humid than the coast).

There's plenty to do here - shop, hike, tour, or just relax. The night life and social scene are upscale and exceptional. Asheville is home to The Historic Biltmore Estate, America's largest home. Our city was recently named the Most Romantic Destination in US and Canada. Asheville also has more microbreweries per capita than any other US city! Oh, and I hear we are one of the most gay/lesbian-friendly places to live, second only to Las Vegas (aka the nickname Ashvegas).

But take heed - unless you enjoy traffic, mobs, and overpriced hotels, I would NOT recommend coming to the Asheville area in late July. The Bele Chere Festival always takes place during the last weekend of July. While Bele Chere has some good musical entertainment, the crowd can be overwhelming. And you can't sling a dead cat without hitting a tourist.

I'd love to meet you or any of the other ladies (or gentlemen) that tour the mountains.

Kisses,
Marie

NC mountains and the beaches in SC.
Both July and August are great times to visit....
As a NC Native. I can testify to the fact that both are amazing sites to see...........

Everyone should see Myrtle Beach at least once.
The Outer banks are a bit far but so worth the drive
and There is always the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain...
Ya gotta walk over the swinging bridge at least once!!!!

tend to favor Raleigh the most. Although thats where most the requests to visit have been when I travel up and I always drive up from Florida. My suggestion is to post 2 weeks in advance and see how many replies you receive before you leave. Pretty decent weather during the summer. However alot of families also take vacation during the summer. So I also go during the spring or fall (after the kids are all back in school)..... Good luck doll! Hugs JoJo
