US Court of Appeals rejects NYC's legal strategy  against the interstate gun trade.

I wonder why mayor Bloomberg, as well as his predecessor Guiliani, could understand that illegal weapons trafficing is bad for NYC, but illegal immigration is good for NYC.  Hey, illegal is illegal. Or so you would think. Alas, it appears here, as in many other areas, not all wrongs are created equal.

I would think that should be easily understood in THIS forum, of all places.

Punishment, let alone prosecution, should be substantially different for a serial murderer versus a serial speeder.   Charlie Manson is not Homer Simpson, DOH!

are not against illegal weapons trafficking, they are against the private ownership of firearms period.

I am glad the US court of appeals has shown some common sense. Suing law abiding gun manufacturers for the criminal actions of others makes as much sense as suing the company that makes a vehicle driven by a drunk driver.

Right you are. How about those bludgeoned to death with baseball bats? Is the "Louisville Slugger" in trouble? Better put mine in my gun safe.
