GAG has pointed out that the prosecutors and courts dealt with her, and that is true as far as it goes.  What it ignores is that this ISN'T just any other case, it's one that points up the stupidity of the program, and that is a political issue, above the pay grade of the lawyers.   Nobody - let alone everybody - was going to put their neck on the block for this one, and I can't blame the individuals.   Collectively, we (well the Ann Coulters, televangelists and Rush Limblobs) have been whinging about "activist judges" until judges who can think for themselves are fucking GONE, and we can thank the Republicons for that.
