No, my vernbally bloodthirsty peers, this is not a disguised way to wish ill fortune upon anyone in theis forum.

The "dead" is figurative ;  just guestimate the posters who get disgusted and throw in the rhetorical towel here at P&R, with or without a public announcement of leave-taking.  [Though an official exit post would certainly help separate accurate claims of "victory" from dubious ones.]

No, it's not sporting to make unfriendly suggestions as to who ought to throw in the towel; let's restrict ourselves to who is likely to do so.

It’s like providers: One retires; five new ones enter the business.  They come and they go and life goes on.

I think they're more like Godzilla, or The Beast From 20,000 fathoms, Or Gorgo, or It Came From Beneath The Sea.

Some posters are like the crazed monsters from the bad sci-fi movies i enjoyed as a kid  -- they wreck incredible havoc in the brief time between wading ashore and finally being repulsed, or simply returning to the depths from which they came.  But the entertainment value of those posters far exceeds that of the monster flics.
