here's a type of post on P&R that ought to be tried more frequently.
Mad props [Xrist, I cannot believe I typed that -- definitely not a tribute to the spirit of the late William F. Buckley, Jr] to thoughtfull for originally posting this on the General Discussion board. Thought it might find a home here as well.

WFB was awesome. I saw him speak in person about a year before he retired from the rubber chicken lecture circuit. That was about 10 years ago at an American Experiment lecture.
He was a devote Catholic yet was a conservative libertarian.
THE CHAMPIONS ARE DEAD: WFB, Ronald Reagan & Barry Goldwater. LONG LIVE THE CHAMPIONS: Michael Savage, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and of course the champion's champion--El Rushbo-- Rush Limbaugh.
personalities and backgrounds.
That sort of "perception-is-reality" is the sort of stupidity I would expect from a con.
Good example - Reagan's belief that Springsteen's "Born in the USA" was flag-waving, simply because of the title. His "people" weren't bright enough to brief him. A dumb fuck leading dumb fucks.
