Not sure if I can list specifics here but if you e-mail me at [email protected] I could revert with some suggestions.

Thinking about visiting Houston in a month or so and had some questions.  Wondering about a good area to stay.  Heard about the galleria area although I know nothing about it.  Needs to be somewhere within walking distance of things to do and restaurants as I will not be renting a vehicle.  Taxis would be find but don't want to travel across town all the time.  Good  Hotels?  Also, I have never flown and does one just get on one of those travel websites to find a flight.  I don't have a clue and don't want to spend a fortune on a flight of there is a way to find one cheaper.  Only planning on three days.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

...check Expedia and Southwest.  But once you find the cheapest flight, book directly through the company and not thru Expedia, just because booking direct will benefit you slightly in terms of seat selection, airline accountability, etc.  Southwest is often cheapest and does not allow 3rd part sites such as Expedia to list their flights.

The galleria is nice.  I can PM you the names of two hotels I like.

The Galleria is awesome...shopping and great hotels...The Indigo is nice
