Well, since I served my country proudly for six (6)years in the U.S. Army as a tank commander, I'd like to know who the hell you think you are to question by patriotism? In the South, we call it Southern heritage. You know, much like having black history month, the NAACP, the Negro College Fund, the Rainbow Coalition, the Black Congressional Caucus, or calling our selves African-Americans. Imagine if we had White History Month, NAAWP, the White College Fund, the White Congressional Caucus, or called our selves European-Americans. We'd be labeled as racists and bigots. I personally think there should be an American History Month honoring all Americans, the NAAAP for the advancement of all people, the American Congressional Caucus to represent all Americans, and let's just call us all Americans regardless of where our forefathers came from. So as long as these issues exist, I will proudly fly the flag of my fore fathers regardless of what you or anyone else may think.
As to slavery, you seem to enjoy the company of providers, so can swear you're not supporting white slavery?
By the way, did you ever wear the uniform of our country? If not, you're dismissed!

I am neither white nor black but I am sick of this whining. While calling everyone else a bigot, it was clear which side is better at it yesterday.
I too have lived in the South for three decades now. What I have observed is one side going out of their way while the other demands more and more.
In complete agreement with second part, try it and you shall find out.
and racism is pretty ugly. Still common in the south but still ugly, too. A uniform can't cover that up.

I hope you able to keep the right to fly whatever flag you want to fly but I also have the right to scoff when I see it flying..
on your property - you can fly the Rising Sun, StarsnBars or any other defeated traitors, and you can mock anybody who wants to fly a state or national flag, but when it comes to what your govt is gonna do, most of us are agreed you're going to fly official flags, and you're not going to announce your love of defeated slave govts from the state house.

The Confederate flag is in the right place now flying above a Confederate Memorial and it will stay . I am from SC and the issue is settled the blacks in the SC Legislature agreed to the compromise.
Obama got the young white vote so they were important.
Obama still ain't gonna get the nomonation though as the Dems have a little thing called Super Delegates.

For your enlightenmentI will clarify I was saying South Carolina has come a long way and in my opinion they have ALREADY proved they are not a majority of back woods red neck racists.
As for the other flag if you want to fly it you have that right..But I also have the right to scoff at your ignorance..
