Just to prove a point the DEA has been raiding medical marijuana dispensaries in California.  The Feds don’t seem to care that the voters of California voted for the initiative that made marijuana legal for medicinal purposes.  A DEA spokesperson said the marijuana dispensaries were detrimental to the neighborhoods where they were located.  However, according to the LAPD there has been no evidence to suggest the dispensaries have been a draw for crime.  The police also said there have been no citizen complaints from neighbors about the dispensaries.  The LA-Long Beach Harbor is the largest seaport in the United States.  About 80% of the cargo entering the United States from Asia comes through the LA-Long Beach Harbor. The potential for a dirty bomb or dangerous narcotics like cocaine and heroin entering through the harbor is astronomical.  I think our tax dollars would be better spent having the Feds monitoring the harbor rather than fucking over people who are obtaining marijuana with a doctor’s prescription to control pain due to cancer, AIDS etc.  I am sure some of the people just want to get high but who gives a fuck.  The police don’t seem to think it’s a problem so why should the Feds?
