Does this guy Colonel Chauret really exist?

I frequently get emails from people who are quoting some retired military guy who's taking a position that is not consistent with what we would expect from a career military man.  In the past it's been about Iraq and this time it's about Bush's tax give away.  I don't knw if it's the exact same name each time, but I wonder if these guys really exist.  The most recent editorial is attributed to Colonel Colin J. N. Chauret, USAF Retired Fighter Pilot Active Duty, 31 Years, WWII, Korea & Vietnam.  I Googled him but  with just a  quick look, I didn't see any smoking gun.

I don't know about you guys but its freezing cold in my area.. If we don't slow down this global cooling we are all going to ferrreezz..

here's a thought -- close the windows and the doors, check the weather-stripping,  see if your heating system is working properly,  drink some hot tea or cocoa if that's to your taste, only practice nudity in temperate climates.

Prosecute Gore? I thought conservatives were the non-litigious types.  Go figure.

Where is Jack0? We need a legal opinion. Can we prosecute quad for posting w/o a clue?  [Only kidding].

What I notice about winter these days, in my area, anyway, is that it will get warm up to the 60s and 70s. That might last as long as a week. Then the wind will blow extremely hard-- maybe there's hard thunderstorms, and then the temperature will drop to freezing within a day, probably with snow and ice. It will stay like that for anything between 1-3 weeks, and then it will happen again.

There were some Indian Summers when I was growing up around these parts, but this pattern seems quite different.
