The Kennedy's are a prime example of everything that can go wrong in a terribly dysfunctional and corrupt family. The patriarch, Joseph Kennedy Sr., was a murderous gangster. He supported Hitler; manipulated the stock market when it crashed in 1929 and paid the Chicago Mafia to stuff the ballot boxes in Cook County, Illinois so his son could be elected president. Ted Kennedy murdered Mary Jo Kopechne; Michael Skakel murdered Martha Moxley and Jack and Robert were complicit in Marylyn Monroe’s death; William Kennedy Smith raped a girl in Florida and Ted was expelled from Harvard for cheating and was only readmitted after his corrupt father paid off the University. Ted was also expelled from a Virginia law school for cheating. Robert could not get into Harvard Law School no matter how much his father tried to bribe the school and ended up attending an obscure law school in Virginia. He failed the bar exam in Virginia, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. He ended up working for Senator Joe McCarthy and spent the rest of his career in government service of one type or another where passing the bar was not a prerequisite for being employed as an attorney. His corrupt brother even appointed him Attorney General. The list goes on and on. Yet liberals refer to the Kennedy’s as American’s Royal Family. What the fuck are these idiots thinking? ? The Kennedy’s are the type of royal family you would expect to find in a third world country. Is that was liberals want, America to be a third world country?

For Ted Kennedy, I wish the State of Massachusetts would come to its senses. It looks like that will never happen.
I think the younger generation of Democrats aren't taken with the Kennedys, they've heard all the stories about them.
I will repeat what I said: I don't think the Irish really had a chance to advance economically or politically in American society till prohibition. Like it or not, old Joseph Kennedy was the poster-child for that.
He philandered, treated his wife like a doormat, neglected to raise his children-- who were mostly some pretty awful people by the time they grew up.
And-- I feel mostly the same way about the Bush's, except they're the in thing right now, while the Kennedys, like the Roosevelts, are in eclipse.

How can anybody suggest that a Bush pardoned Scooter Libby, or started the stupidest fucking war in anybody's memory so that his buddies could gut the Treasury? Regardless, I found your post interesting for a couple of reasons.
First, its typical of conservatives to distract from the horror of the last 7 years . . . shitty economy, Iraq and all the resulting US deaths, complete loss of credibility with other nations, Scooter Libby, government by secrecy, spying on US citizens, etc. The Kennedys are all almost dead and gone. Y'all should be apologizing for re-electing Bush, not complaining about the Kennedys.
Second, most successful American families have lied, cheated, stolen, or fucked somebody over, on their way to the top. Kennedys were no different and the Bushes are no different.
Third, apparently you disapprove of the conduct of some of the Kennedys. Fair enough. But do you really think you should be gettin that high on your horse in lightof the fact that you are posting on "theeroticreview."
Fourth, the fact that you are posting on this site as a self-proclaimed conservative likely means that you are a hypocrite. Try getting your party back from the religious right first, and then you will have more time to bitch about liberals.
Finally, liberals do not want America to be a third world country. But, we are much closer to that status than we were 7 years ago thanks to all the conservatives.
