The Valerie Plame affair rises again. . . and confirms what I said.

I was right: It turns out she was definitely working under cover for a CIA front company called Brewster Jennings and was investigating an international black market in nuclear weapons. Outing her WAS harmful to national security, as she was investigating Turkey's involvement in an international black market in nuclear technology, with a mole in the US government.

No doubt then: she was an active CIA agent who was outed in the middle of a vital mission. RWU: any comments?

In this case, the Plame affair is actually just an aside to the real story that's been brewing.

Yes, it's from Daily Kos-- but follow the links.

Yea she was so undercover  that her idiot husband  did an Op ed piece in the NY Times not worried at all about her cover. She had not been overseas in 5 years .I thought he Vanity Fair layout showed her as a model :)
The whole thing was BS .

"Unless she was really stationed abroad sometime after their marriage," she wasn't a covert agent protected by the law, says Bruce Sanford, an attorney who helped write the 1982 act that protects covert agents' identities.

Would a spy's undercover itinerary be open for the public? I mean if she had an undercover identity would her real identity be given travel records that reflect her undercover ones?

As for Joe Wilson, he didn't reveal her identity at all. He simply debunked a phony bit of evidence. I he had revealed her identity, he'd be in jail.

As for Bruce Sanford, what the hell would he know about where she was stationed? Is there a declassified report showing where she was stationed? Is there a whistle-blower or something?

This denial by Conservatives, including in National Review, is beginning to resemble psychosis. I don't see how the purported railroading Libby could have even been done, or why anybody would make that effort.

She was not covert or the IP would have charged someone with disclosing her identity and  he could not and the whole thing is BS .
I was being scarcastic about  Joe Blow .If your wife was really covert would you want to even in the slightest way bring attention to her. He knew she was not in danger and he was a Kerry surrogate .
The Reps played hardball and won and the NY Times article by  Joe was written before the election . All BS and politics .
