I decided to drive into town tonight and watch some hot caucus action at the local bar, since I don't have a TV in my igloo, plus it was -22 this morning and I need some alcohol...  (actually right now someone changed the channel to watch Jeperdy, but I've got a couple drinks in me now, so we may have a brawl over the remote)

As much as I like Huckabee and his abolished the IRS plan, I realize he is unelectable in modern pagan-America...

Sooo, the only question REALLY facing America at this time is will Hillary be Obama's VP or will Obama be Hillary's? The rest might as well pack and go home... Super-Tuesday will just be a robotic circle-jerk that mimics the outcome of tonight...

I stand by what I said last year; AMERICA IS FUCKED!
(unless Gore steps out of the shadows in the 11th hour and runs as an independent... But I imagine if he trys, the Hillary-ops will kill him and leave his body in a park with a suiside note pinned to it...

We're so fucked, I'm glad I'm off the grid and grow my own food, the rest of you can go down with the great failed experment formerly known as  America...

Ben! A right wing GOP supporter like you??? AL GORE??? You HAVE been dipping into the fermentation barrel, eh?:)

That's an even bigger surprise than Hillary coming in 3rd.

I really would have figured you for a Huckabee guy.

As of this posting (745pm Pacific time)... its Obama with 38%; Edwards 30%; Clinton 29.5% --- mildly surprising.

For the GOP - Huckabee 34%; Romney 25%; Thompson 14%; McCain 13%; Paul 10% --- also mildly surprising (Rudy couldnt even get 9.11%?)

You probably noticed I support Huckabee, but even though he did so well in Iowa, I don't believe he's got a muslim's chance in Hell of winning nationally... So yes, in some sick way, I guess I support Gore.

Thank GOD that Hillary took a political-spanking on her big cottage-cheese ass at the Iowa cock-ass, that'll cool of her momentum among the mindless, liberal, lock-step, sheeple that were high on her musty quim prior and supporting her in the polls... Anything is better than her, ANYTHING! (I read every vote FOR Edwards as a direct vote against Hillary, which is encouraging)

by the mere fact Huckabee won.  Something like 60% of the Republican voters said they were Evangelical Christians and voted for Huckabee because he was a Christian.  I doubt most American voters feel that way.  As a matter of fact, most of the people I know fear the Evangelicals about as much as they fear radical Muslims.

It's the whole Dark Ages thing when it comes to fundamentalism, whether it be the Christian Evangelicals, Islamic Extremists, or the Jewish Haredi.

It goes beyond the pale to think that so many people in this world are so swayed by Religious Dogma.

Nothing is more dangerous to social progress than religious fundamentalism. It is a mushroom cloud of irrational thinking just waiting to spread its lethal radiation across the world. How much more loathsome can it get? It teaches you that blood is thinner than dogma, that religious subservience is more important than family. There is nothing spiritual about it. It is the true evil that men do.

That's MY take on it.
Peace Out

Personally I'm more optimistic about the good 'ole USA than the first poster, Ben Dover, from Iowa is.
People--let's try to look at the big picture here, from an historical perspective.  There have been a number of times in the past when "America was fucked" yet we managed to muddle through somehow.

Since Romney took such a beating, I think it's reasonable to say that the non-Evangelicals will end up flocking to another candidate. Who? McCain, Thompson and Paul are going to be fighting for those votes.

New Hampshire is more of a libertarian state. Huckabee's numbers won't look too good there. I think it might be Paul and McCain crushing Romney that time, with Huckabee somewhere in the invisible five percent.

It looks like for big media hyperbole than reality. Is there an increase in advertising revenue for ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS and CNN?

Watched little of CNN when Bersntein was talking, man o man, time for these people to find a nice beach and stop with the so called expert BS

Get rid the media hype and America will be unfucked quickly

What you have here is a feedback equation. The media thinks its important because the politicians think it's important, and vice versa. The public thinks it's important because both the politicians and media think it's important. Meanwhile, the politicians and media think it's more important because the public thinks it's important . . . nobody in the process (except Giulliani) thinks that they can change it.

All of this stuff exists only in the minds of men and women. It will change because our minds aren't static. Meanwhile, nobody can step out of the illusion long enough to change it or ignore it.

You're right. lol But they definitely don't want Romney over Huckabee.

Paul doesn't have a snowballs chance in Hell in the big picture..He is merely a entertainment distraction like Huckabee. My bet says Mc Cain and Guliani will go to the wire and the rest will fizzle out ...

I did not think those farmers had it em. Looks like the coronation got derailed for the moment.
When are some of you going to smaten up and see that she is a sham candidate.
