Not attracting Dom clients/BDSM curious vanillas

I'm San Francisco, the home of a large BDSM community, the Folsom Street Fair, The Power Exchange, The SFCitadel, Bondage A Go Go, etc...so what gives??

I've been advertising as an escort AND a sub since I started working (even mentioning that I am a lifestyle ageplay submissive in my personal world), however I have only ever been contacted by one client who was an actual dominant. All of my other clients have just been vanilla.

This isn't an ad. I am curious to know how women who offer "regular" companionship also market themselves as prosubs.

I don't want to have separate websites, etc..I just want everything in on place. Advice from prosubs that are also multihour companions/regular escorts would be very very helpful. Dual marketing is tough!

I'll happily take PM's or emails if you don't want to post here. ^_^

Thank you!

though I do it simultaneously. I just mention on my blog/site that I am submissive and happily welcome BDSM type encounters. I've gotten some messages about it. Maybe you could have a specific page on you site explaining BDSM and how it plays a role in your life - maybe that will help.

Massage isn't really up my ally, though. I don't like giving them....

I'm trying to figure out how to market myself as both, atm.

I agree with you Madame Patricia.  I have noticed that there are some Femdoms that will snub their nose if a lady offers both bdsm and escorting.  Not all of us can be the same.  Have some fun and let your hair down.

I will get ALOT of guys new to being a dom.

So many times they want you to show THEM! lol ugh

so keep in mind, if you advertise as both, you will get this a lot...

and you may be topping from the bottom sometimes!

I dont have issue with this, i just tell them that they need to book a min 90min appt..

30 min to show them and then I let them take over

If you reread the first line of your post, that's the answer; there's a larger community and more acceptance here, so many of the curious vanillas and Doms can get their needs met more easily here. There are of course those who can't, but many of them are conflicted and/or shy, and balk at seeing a full-fledged sub or companion.

SF is also a very bottom-heavy town. I've found that since there's more kink on the dating scene here, marketing as vanilla (or vanilla-ish) can actually be a boon if you're looking for locals, as can being toppy/assertive/dominant (though many of those start out seeking traditional domination; this is also a town that likes its traditional kink, so that's a factor). I switch, but have noticed I receive fewer requests for pro sub sessions in SF on average than in other cities.

The combination of submissive and multihour escort would do quite well in Chicago, DC, NY, Philly, or Boston... It's partly the location. You might even try advertising in LA, if you're open to traveling.

Dual marketing can also take longer to become established; there's an impression that rather than being multitalented, one is a dabbler. It takes time to overcome that.

It also takes time to craft a blend that suits your market and your offerings, and it might just be time to experiment with different ways of weaving those things together. If you'd like to talk a little more about how that might work, feel free to drop me a note. And best of luck!
