It depends on your tastes in entertainment. One of the nicest family restaurants in Wausau is the Blue Willow Cafe on the north side of town. You can find shopping, local bars and plenty of fun in the downtown, near the Wausau Center Mall. The Mall as 60+ small and large shops and there are plenty of bars around there to hang out in, the nightlife in Wausau centers around there. Karoke is offered at many places, I like the Hiawatha on Grant Street, it is a local hangout, great food and freindly people. The Leigh Yawkey Museum is great if you are looking for high brow entertainment, it is a regional attraction.

I'll be making a pit stop in Wasau, WI on my way back to Chicago for a day or two and was wondering if locals wouldn't mind sharing  any  "must see" sites or "gotta eat there " restaurants. Never been to the area so I greatly appreciate any and all recommendations. Also interested in nice, not nosey, hotels & areas to stay. Please only share hotel info via pm or direct email.  ;)  Thanks a million in advance!

Passionate kisses, Sadie
