there are many hotels just north of Old Town on Scottsdale Rd. I wonder, is that a "gaggle", "slew", "bunch", "pride" or "flock" of hotels? Plaza Resort, Chaparral Suites, Hilton (newly remodeled) are just some that are nice. There are also many chains such as Amerisuites & Residence Inn available.
Depending on what sort of things you like, I would guess that downtown has less to offer than Snobbsdale; although I do find myself heading down there from Scottsdale regularly. The prices do tend to go down the further away from downtown you get, though; and with the 101 and 51 finally complete getting around town has gotten a lot easier.

Here's an easy one - any hotel recommendations? I'm usually at the golf resort hotels in North Scottsdale and am not familiar with the rest of the city. That will not be the case on my next trip. I will be with a group of non golfers who want to be closer to town, save a buck and I have to stay with them at the same location. I'm looking at hotels in Central Scottsdale and Downtown Phoenix. Any opinions out there? Any provider opinions? After all - I still want to have some fun!

Well I can name several downtown Hotels... the Ritz Carlton- 24th and Camelback... Embassy Suites- 28th and Camelback... Hilton Suites- on Central and Thomas... Oh and as far as a Provider... I am down town too...LOL give me a call for further info and don't forget to take a look at my site...
