TER's Instruction Manual - by Board Admin, 8/17/2010 10:35:46 AM

Some of your Qs are answered there. Others come up on the board quite often are not yet official FAQs.

Use the search function on Newbie to look for your other topics. Expand your search from the default 30 days to 100 or 200 or even 400 days to get a range of answers

Hi y'all and Merry Festivus!

Just curious... I have combed through the general rules and admin posts, having even sent some messages to the admin with questions - but here I am thinking I have seen all the important stuff and them *BAM* I click on another link and see something else I can't believe I didn't think to look up on my own.

But my question is has anybody compiled a list of links that is pretty much a jumping off point for those new to the board that includes info on professional photographers, image hosting, ter guidelines, basic legal resources (state specific and other) as well as provider resources all in one place?

I'd love to see what some people have come up with!

I've read it and the search function is a great tip - but I'm also trying to see if anyone has done exactly what you are saying in regards to the "others" that "come up on the board" - it would be nice if those useful entries were put together in a type of "Blog Landing Page" that compliments the Newboe Board (not for my own personal gain but to be helpful to others) so it doesn't take them months to find out certain things that could have streamlined their success and gave them important resources for their safety

MANY people have been advocating for a REAL faq based on real, frequently asked questions. Join the chorus!

Until TER sponsors a way for the most active and reliable FAQ answerers to assemble and update a real FAQ you are stuck with searching for recent threads or asking the Q anew.

Your specific topics:

Pro photo shoots - asked and answered many times - search "watermark watermarking" (any) and you'll
get some of those threads.

Image hosting (and picture posting)  - asked and answered many times

TER guidelines - buried in the instruction manual (top post)

Legal - comes up now and then; also see the Legal Board for specific Qs. Sometimes on General, too.

If TER doesn't move your thread to Newbie, start a new thread there with a clear, meaningful Subject line and one specific Q per thread. (E.g., "Please help!" is a terrible subject line. "How do I post a picture?" is a clear, simple, specific subject line that will get more readers and answers.) Ask one at a time; don't overload us; you'll get fewer answers.
