In the numerous threads on Newbie and General about photo shoots, watermarking, who is good / bad , there have been a couple of Providers who mention that they also do pro photography for other Providers. Of course, I can't remember a single name at the moment.
(Someone I used to see was a budding photography pro who did all of her self-portraiture for her website. She was pretty good at it. She is now retired and, at last report, gone to the Far East to live.I have a photography portfolio (PM me, I don't want this to be an ad) and a Model Mayhem as a photographer. I am always frustrated that a dichotomy is always drawn between the subject AND the photographer especially since I am quite good at taking compelling portraits of other people, but not good at taking as compelling portraits of myself. (I dare say, this is a challenge that faces every photographer, because of the technical challenges involved.)
Does anyone know any providers that are also photographers? I am actually quite curious. Favorite external inspirations of mine include Sally Mann (who took photographs of her naked daughters), Carrie Mae Weems, and Lee Miller.

I've been doing photography for over 20 years and sell some work. Lately I have been thinking about getting into provider friendly photography I have all the equiptment and resources so I just need to better make it known in the community that I do so. I also feel there's a bump where I don't want to send work samples taken in the civie world to providers just as I would keep working with a provider confidential.
I just ordered a sweet portrait lens and upgrading camera equiptment probably soon, just need to bite the cost.
My work has been in playboy, penthouse, the pucture, people, zoo, many others and of course thousands of sets online as I was one of the original digital content providers for online porn.
As much as I love photography I don't seem to have time for it now.
I consider myself semi retired from anything in the industry.
If I bother to shoot now it's on my travels to other countries and mostly candids
