I am not going to ask for any personal experience regarding this for obvious reasons, but I was wondering if you ladies can help me understand how the issue really affects women.

And on a side note, how important is it for certain women to take extra dose of estrogen for a treatment of hot flashes associated with menopause?

Sorry these questions are really open ended but I would appreciate any knowledge or experience associated with it. I am doing a research for something and need to have a real understand of the topic other than what I can read off of Wikipedia.
