Sounds like you need to dump the agency and go independent, that way you select who you see and you know what is expected, etc before you arrive.

Also next time you get sent to a hotel, call ahead and ask for the client to verify he is in the hotel and you are not being sent on a wild goose chase.  Gas is too pricey for all the running around.
