TER General Board

So you file a problem report, then....

TER changes the profile.  The provider gets all pissed, challenges things, and you get outed as a part of the proof that you saw her.    The provider then knows who you are and posts your personal info on a national black list out there for the world to see.  Now what?

When people notice obvious errors in reviews like a transsexual without implants or eight years of reviews on a 21-25 year old, why do they post about it instead of filling out a problem report? I love it when they do as I get to fill it out and get the free days VIP, but why don't they? Problem reports are easier than posting about it with links. I just don't get it. Why don't people just get things fixed and get some credit instead of whining about them? We all have a responsibly to maintain the credibility of this site if we use it for our screening don't we?

Maybe it is just me, but doing extra work to complain instead of fixing things and getting free VIP just don't make sense. But to those that do come on here with such things, thanks I like when I get to have free VIP without the work of finding the issue to report. :)

If you can't tell, this is just a friendly reminder to fill out problem reports when you see an issue to keep this site currant. We all need to help make the information as accurate as possible. If all the information is dated after all, what good is it? Just a rant from a fat man.

the last one I sent back in 3 times and they did not change anything nor did they give a reason for rejecting my report.  It was a blatant false review that I verified with the provider and the service that she had not worked at for over a year.  I like the fact that people bring their problems to the board so we know about it.

but soed's right, too.  I think most people don't file problem reports because they just don't know and/or are lazy.  So scoed's reminder is helpful.  I have not had marty's experience but I think the reason it happens is TER is inconsistent about how they handle things (not exactly news, unfortunately).  So it depends on which Admin person you get.

just saying why some might find it a rewarding process.  As a side note. Scoed? where does that come from or stand for? A pm is fine if it is not for public, of a none of my business is OK also, just curios.

You are correct in that some problem reports can be major issues. However there are many that are really simple, like the examples scoed gave about TS without implants, and ladies with years of reviews whose age is set at 21-25 or even 18-20. And his point was that some people will post things like that on the boards and complain about bad profiles, instead of doing the problem report, which is actually less work.

But yes, things like trying to remove a bad review or complex problem reports can be a major issue require more proof, and not worth the trouble for some people.

By the way, about his name, he has given it up many times on the boards. scoed is one of the most public people here, not afraid to say who he is. I am surprised since you have been around a while, that you didn't see a previous post about it. Anyhow I am sure he will tell you either here or by PM.

Simple- lets break it down

S- First name initial.

C- Middle name initial.

O- Last name initial with a "'s" at the end.

E- Erectile

D- dysfunction

So scoed stands for my full name's erectile dysfunction. My handle is poking a little fun at myself.

Hey SCoed,

When I have filed problem reports, TER will take the report and decide if it's worth persuing. I have gotten VIP days as credit, which I did not expect to get when I filed a problem report. Getting extra VIP days was a bonus for me, but not my only motivation.

I think most people just don't do it because of one of 2 things:

1. Too much work
2. Not enough evidence to support their claim, thus making it like number 1.

Unfortunately most providers do not keep their profiles up to date and the problem reporting is necessary.

At the same time there have been provider complaints about improper updating. Just make sure you are reporting accurately. The system works when it is done properly.

Like the examples I gave. I see such complaints several times a month on the boards. Cases like a ladies age can't be correct if she started at a legal age so ether the first reviews need to be pulled as they were of an under aged girl or her age needs to be upped. That was on one of the boards I read. Or the one about transsexuals with real DDD breasts. If they are real he isn't a transsexual, just a gay guy with large breasts. There is plainly issues there and they need to be reported. One should never report something without proof or personal experience, but the cases I am talking about the proof is common sense plus profile content.

By the way you should never expand a woman's menu without her consent as often it can be YMMV. But when the issues are plain like the examples I brought up, a report needs to be filed.

and I really don't want to waste my time worrying about what another woman does with her business. I also don't look at other providers' reviews unless it is to get an idea of what a guy expects from me because he saw her as well. If I knew someone was mixed up in a sting, that would be worth reporting but I would have to have serious proof before doing so. As for age...can't really know for sure unless you have seen her ID. I know girls who have been in college for 8 plus years and still claim they are working on a 4 year degree lol.

You was not dumb enough to give her your handle where you? Even if you did, first TER must agree you have enough proof to change it. Then she must see it and get angry about it. Then she must write TER. TER must then out you, which I have not yet heard of them doing over a problem report. Then she must know your real info and your handle and link them together. Then she has to be vindictive enough to report you with your real info to that site.

That is a lot of if's. I think you are fairly safe. Anyway if you are that paranoid why give your handle or real info in the first place? There are lots of ladies that do not require it. Blacklisting a handle will not do much as few require it as part of screening as most clients don't got one.

Now if everything goes wrong, then you are fucked, but the odds are pretty long that all that would happen. I think you are mostly safe.

Granted getting fake reviews removed and things like that are tough to do and take a lot of proof, but the kinds of things you talk about, like a lady having 8 years of reviews and her age listed at 21-25, are easy changes which require no proof. (the proof is in the review history)

I have also gained many free days posting problem reports of things that others have posted on the boards. I always wondered why they would take the time to post on the board and provide a link, rather than just sending a problem report which is much less work. Sometimes a whole thread starts, arguing about some gal's age or something. I see a post like that and use the info and send in a problem report and get two free days. I will usually post on the thread something like, "Next time just send in a problem report. BTW too late for this one, I already did."

I like to see the profiles as accurate as possible. I would probably send in the problem reports anyway even if I didn't get VIP days for it.
