I have contacted them demanding they remove my photos. Ladies, don't think this is good for your business - its not. Backlinks to website with lower rankings only bring down your own web rankings.

Check and see if yours is there and tell them to remove your photos.

Google has a feature that trace the pictures of its origin, and all other websites that have used those pictures. Some use tineye. So, if someone is using your pictures, your more than likely to find out if you use google pictures. Just click on the camera icon and paste the picture URL web address.

This doesn't always work. Thieves will change filenames to avoid getting caught.

ALL the time to make sure they haven't been stolen by websites like that. I have found a few that have stolen them then sent them scathing emails demanding them to be removed!!! It has worked for me so far.

It used to be common to see photos with a watermark of the gal's name on the photo to help avoid theft, but with photoshop, etc., can that be easily removed now?

Yes and no. I used to watermark my pics a great deal but have gotten away from it. I did however have a site steal photos from my website where I have the settings to not allow right clicking them. I guess if they want them bad enough they will do whatever it takes. I was told that watermarks can be removed but it's a pretty hard process.

Is extremely easy to override by multiple simple methods, and by unskilled people (like me) and offers zero protection. I'm sure removing watermarks takes some skill or good software at least. Maybe there are other ways to protect your photos now besides watermarking, but definitely don't rely on the right clicking thing.
