by law its not where the money is exchanged it is where the act occurs. If they can prove there was a sex act for money they can arrest you. you could pay on a website in turkey and still get arrested if it happens here. they can also track money on the web alot easier than you think, i mean if you want your money its got to get to you some way and they can backtrack it.

also prostitution is not legal in vegas, its legal in every other county in nevada with a population of less than 100,000

To OUR concerned clients & friends,

I have been getting a lot of calls about what is going on and to see if I am ok, etc...

Due to all of the rumors flying around at the moment, I am closing for the rest of the week, at the very least. Whatever it is that is going on - I am going to take the hint and wait for things to be a little more clear before I decide if we will even take calls again. That is just me. We have a lot of good detectives on this board and one of them may post a helpful link soon.

My clients who know me and trust me, if you have any concerns, please call me. I will let you know what is going on with US.

Thanks!

I might...can you believe it??

What would you do???  :)

1) Change business name ... reopen when things are settled.
2) Pay taxes (LOL) ... the IRS will go down on an establishment harder than LE trying to catch a SW. Tax evasion is more serious - The government cares more about getting its money.
3) Write to congressman to make things Legit. After all, in Vegas - it is legit. So, why not NC? Defend your profession, right?
4) High tech solution - Establish business name in Vegas (where it is legit), get a web provider to run website in Vegas, and let clients pay electronically. So, the electronic transaction never takes place in NC (it takes place in a legal State) by paying online. So, when the services takes place here in NC, there's no money involve .. just full service with 2 consenting adults (LE can't find any money traded). If they find it, it occurs in Vegas where it is legit. LOL

Thanks for the clarification on Vegas and Nevada law. But, the concept of entrapment to catch prostitution is base on the fact that you are caught on the act of paying for it.  If you pay offsite, using an accounted going into 3rd party financial gateway systems, that's difficult to trace. It's not easy. I guess you are just paranoid if they will go to that detail. For example, offshore companies transfer money electronically all the time to avoid taxes and you nor LE can trace that very easily. I've traded internationally and it's very easy to shift one funds from one account to another without detection. On the other hand, any two consenting adults meeting at a hotel (without any money exchanged), it could be anybody - a boyfriend-girlfriend or husband-wife meeting at the hotel. It's very hard for LE to prove that that is prosititution.
