Not that I'm a fan of the guy, but I still can't figure out why he was arrested.
OK, let's say he made a pass at the cop in whatever secret Gay Jedi hand/foot signals.
1. Did he ever express an intent to have sex there in the bathroom? Do people ever hook up there and then get a room?
2. Was a solicitation for money in evidence?
If no on both, sorry, but the arrest was bogus, and seems more like persecution of gays, something the media has *totally* dropped the ball on.
I have one nagging question about it all. Cops don't hang out in men's rooms at random. They conduct sex stings in a particular men's john when they've received complaints that guys are using that particular john to give or get blowjobs.
So here's Larry Craig, self-proclaimed heterosexual, lives in Idaho, office in Washington D.C. Pretty interesting that this "straight" U.S. Senator knows WHICH john in the Twin Cities airport to go to, isn't it?
I'm sure a MN court is gonna let him off. Sure Larry, you look like a nice guy to me.
What I can't figure is how he thinks throwing money at it is gonna work. I'll bet the prosecutor is gonna take it as a dare, and it's not like he's going after a local or a member of the local majority.
The court documents cannot help Craig or his party. Even if he's pure as the driven snow, you know that the cop has a case that is going to make the fight self-defeating EVEN IF he gets off.
