The main problem is a different study showed the opposite traits.  

Also, in the 1980s, the country had a notable conservative swing.  What happened there if brains are hardwired.

Moreover, just because they've identified the area in the brain that makes decisions on politics, and what emotions are stimulated to prompt that decision, this doesn't mean that any of them are unchangeable. It just reveals clues on the neural process.

Remember that studies on human behavior are notorious for bias.

If this is true, it would mean that most of what happens on this board is mental masturbation...which would explain a lot. :P

I read some more detqailed accounts of the study. It seems really weak and looks like someone positioning themselves for another monetary grant.

And, hell, we all know people who have changed their political views over time. They change as you age and learn about life.

Some people learn the lessons properly and become very libertarian. :)
