Hilarious and disturbing.

A comedy crew motorcade, three cars and a motorcycle, with a guy dressed as Bin Laden to boot, passed through two heavily guarded APEC security checkpoints while wearing "insecurity passes" which said the motorcade was a joke.

The group thought they'd get turned back at the first checkpoint, where the bit was supposed to stop. Instead, they got within meters of the hotel where Bush was staying. If they hadn't looked suspicious by turning around, they might have went right into the hotel.

As expected, security officials are not laughing. I have to admit, that was so dangerous.

I'm reminded of that incident years ago where that  19-year-old breached Soviet airspace and landed his plane in Red Square.

It's amazing that all the top officials are saying that their security worked great. If there were a bomb in the car and it would've gone off I wonder what they'd be saying then. "Our security worked fine because the first 2 check points were just for show and once they got to the hotel and blew it up we knew they were there" or something silly like that.
I guess what they're really trying to say is we're a bunch of idiots but we don't want to admit it so we'll blame the comics and not the guards that let them pass.

I know what I'd do if it came in front of me - dismiss the charges and sanction the prosecutor.
