and my purpose of pointing out this person is because things here in San Diego are very tense w/ all the current L.E. action. To me this is just a heads up, how can you expect to get recommendations from this board if you do not ever plan on contributing something of value. Personally I do not want to see any body out their lose their business.

It seems that many have been outraged by the comments previously made by one of the boards posters - sandiego2. Although he has expressed his opinions in a manner that may be found offensive, they are only his opinions and should not be misconstrued by anyone to be anything more. The purpose of this board is threefold. First, it is a place where those who have like minded interests can communicate and share their experiences. It is also a place where individuals can go to express their viewpoint, regardless of whether or not others agree or disagree with it. Most importantly, however, it is a place where people with common interests can come together and exchange information that will help them succeed with their endeavors. For this reason, the information must be unbiased and represent the information provider's true perspective and opinion; anything else would simply reduce the quality, possibly to the point where it becomes useless, of the information. If perspectives are continually ridiculed, thereby discouraging those from disclosure of their true feelings, the integrity of the forum will be in jeopardy, and we surely don't want this to happen.

Before entering this board, all participants are asked not to post flame. That is what his old post was. It was simply mean and rude and had no need to be posted on this board.
I regret to say that when I first came to this board, I got caught up in all the stuff and wrote my fair share of flame also. Since then, I have kept it clean and ask the same of others. Or, at least use an alias if you plan to offend.

Mara, I think he (sandiego2) owes you a sincere apology; the comments that were made were poignant and unwarranted. I agree with the board's consensus that this sort of behavior is unacceptable, but let's not worsen the matter with excessive retaliatory posts. Let's move on to more exciting material, like stories from both hobyists and providers.
