It's nice that we all give "safety" information out on the list, but what we sometimes fail to realize is that LE is reading along with us.  It just gives them more information and ammunition (so to speak).
It really sucks that they have nothing better to do. There are missing children out there and quite a few other tings that need to be taken care of! I could go on and on but won't bore you to death. One of the guys that got busted was one of my clients and a very nice person.

Seems to me that there are several things that both guys and gals can do to outdo the L.E.  Guys, check reviews carefully on this board.  Any girl with a single review should be suspect.  Reviews should not be just recent ones.  Look for reviews posted by guys who have been regular posters.  Cops can make reviews look older by the date, but TER has a limit on how old they will use.  Use providers who have been here for some time.  This may be hard on girls just starting in and visitors, but it can save you.  Get your own room.  If she volunteers to get it, forget her.  If you ask her to and she gets it, ask the hotel clerk for a room number change. If they refuse, suspect the worst.  Gals.  Get multiple picture ID's.  That is: military ID, drivers license and a picture credit card.  Check the dates issued.  New card should be suspect.  Check birth dates if on cards.  Check expiration dates on all of them.  Check how many reviews he has posted.  Get recommendations from other providers.  Before seeing or committing ask for home phone number, not to call, but to check the address. Suspect the hotel room if he got it and ask for a change when you arrive.  Walk out if you suspect anything.  The money is not worth the hassle.  If he gives a work address, call, but ask to speak to someone else.  Check the business in the phone book to see if it's legit, then inquiry from someone there about the guy.  What is his position, etc.  These are just a few things that can be done.  It's a hassle, but better safe than sorry.
