I live in Sao Paulo on and off with NYC and I sympathize with your concern.
Sao Paulo and Brazil are not among the safest places in the globe.
I can give you some tips about or even recommend some ladies who can speak some English and you don't have to be concerned about them robbing you.
One safe spot is Cafe Photo and every reception or concierge at any hotel know this place.
You can go and enjoy drink or even dinner there with a couple of hundred girls around you. And then, after making your selection, you can bring her back to the hotel.
Another place is Bahamas which is a club and there a couple of hundred girls there as well. They have their own private rooms. Also a safe place.
You may also check some websites like clubmodel.com.br and splove.com.br. Pictures are pretty accurate and the girls are honest. You can visit some of them at their own flats or ask them to come over to visit you.
