got to admit, things didnt come off rosy for Gore, but I do believe we are damaging our environment beyond the ability to repair.

McCain's disintegration was inevitable. He tried to please all of the Republicans all of the time. It didn't work, conservatives never trusted him, and his campaign is all but over now.
Best he finish out his term of office and retire to the good life in Arizona.
Still, it gives me pause to think he was probably the most substantial of the candidates from the GOP to this point.
Now who do they have? Rudy, Romney and Reagan... er pardon me, Fred Thompson... sorry, I keep confusing my actors.
I don't think its going to matter though. Because one of two things will happen:

1 - A Democrat will be elected President in 2008. Hillary Obama Whoever, it won't matter.
The entire country will go into a stall as the opposing branches of politics hold the country hostage to their partisan bickering. Look at the 109th Congress as a forerunner example of that. Their biggest accomplishment was NOT creating a constitutional amendment for Terry Schiavo.

2 - A major terrorist attack on US soil will occur, or will be allowed to occur, at which time Martial Law will be declared, followed shortly by a suspension of the election.
Don't laugh, and don't bloviate, because it certainly IS one possible scenario.

Al Gore's 24 Hr. Earth Day concert was a worldwide rating disaster.  It came in last place to summer re-runs and reality TV.  All polls show that most people believe that global warming is overhyped.  Sorry Al, the media can't spin this one for you.  Please crawl back under your rock.

How about that John McCain?  The media's favorite Republican of all time.  Everyone wanted him to be Pres. with his "Maverick attitude".  He's out of money, fired his campaign manager and is currently trailing Weird Al Yankovick in Iowa by 3 points.

Sorry for that reality check.  Let's get back to our regulary scheduled program: "Barak Obama- A Man of Substance".

McCain was just another Media Misconception... You can not trust the Media to be always {or even mostly correct when the are making "predictions"

The media has been kissing his ass for 8 years saying how he would win in a general election.  It wasn't a "prediction" as much as who they were openly rooting for.  They kept talkng about McCain's popularity like it was a fact. The fact was it was the media that liked him as long as he was opposing Bush.

You're wrong on both counts.  All polls do not show that. The poll results are all over the place with no consensus on the issue:

The media was giving McCain good coverage in the 2000 primaries because he actively cultivated an open relationship with the press, the exact opposite of Bush who did everything he could to hide his past and not answer any of the media's
questions.  Since that point McCain's standing with the media and with voters has deteriorated based on his political miscalculations, particularly with the way he actively campaigned for Bush's re-election and his continued support for the status quo in Iraq.

Conservatives don't like McCain.  He is doing an 11th hour courting of them and it won't work.  He's doing horribly because you won't win a Republican nomination if Frank Rich from the NY Times is your biggest fan. I suppose he should go further left?  That always wins Republican nominations.

Funny how the polls show "no consensus" but everyone in the media treats global warming like it is FACT.  If the world believed we were all dead in a few years like Gore says they may have watched his concert instead of a "Cops" rerun from 1997.

I know you're a liberal but try to THINK before you REACT.  Another pointless retort by you.

Correct me if I'm wrong dude, but weren't you the one who claimed that ALL polls showed that people believe global warming is overhyped?  I was pointing  to the actual polling data that disproves your argument.  You also seem to be confusing public opinion with scientific fact -- two different issues.  Remember, prior to the invasion of Iraq a majority of the American public believed Saddam was involved in 9/11.  That didn't make it true.

I know you're a conservative but try to think before you  react. On second thought, never mind. You can't help yourself.

Try not to argue if you are not capable of understanding the original point. The media has created the myth that everyone has accepted this bogus global warming hysteria.  Polls and recent events have proven this media creation(the name of the post) to be false.  Can you follow me?  I tried to use little words.  Oh, and great point about McCain...BWAHAHAHAHA.

Nice segue to Iraq. Very relevant. I see you checked your "Idiot's Guide to Making Liberal Arguments" before this latest materpiece of your's. Couldn't you include Haliburton as well?

You're not quite as smart as you think you are.  Not even close.  You should try to come to terms with that before you start typing again.
