You're right, Doc. Arnold is better than I thought and there and there are more important issues.

100% and full disclosure, instantaneous on the web and elsewhere, combined with the removal of all limits on contributions.

If it's OK for Bloomberg to try to buy his way into the election then why not for someone else to buy Colin Powell's (insert your own desire here) ticket in?

“abuse of tax codes”… If it’s legal how can it be an abuse?

The article is quite disingenuous since all the contributors achieve (apart from anonymity) is a tax deduction (of a maximum of 35% at the federal level). They are still paying the remainder of his bill out of their pocket. This is merely money upon which the government does not get to levy taxes. The government is NOT paying the whole tab. I can’t say anything about California charitable tax deductibility, but if like most states, there is little or none.

You mean like BJs in the oval office. Now I understand.

Yeah but Clinton. The Republican answer to every issue.  What's the statute of limitations on this?

Not surprised that you don't see any problem with companies seeking favors from a governor being able to secretly funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars to his travel budget.

You didn't realize that his first post (just below) was about the whole "Leave Clinton out of it" schtick? Where is your sense of humor? Oh never mind.

And besides, I AGREED in my first response that the political funding system NEEDS to be reformed to prevent such things,
It's abuse of power... yes.
Immoral use of power...yes.

but is it an abuse of tax codes?
I think not.
How does one ABUSE THE LAW?
Something is either LEGAL or it ISN'T.
One either OBEYS the law or they DON'T.

READ what people write.

Arnold is a mega gazillionaire already. He may have had to twist and turn some in order to confront the realities of doing business in
California politics, but once he figured out he was capable of being the Cult of Personality in politics as he was/is as an actor, he's actually getting things done.
For the record, I was against the ecall, against his election, and I did not, and would not vote for him.
But now that he's shaken off the parasite leftovers of Pete Wilson, he's not as bad as I originally feared.
There's plenty to concern ones' self about Arnold Schwartzeneggar's political machinations.

This aint one of 'em.
