Thanks very much for your reply. Looking forward to exploring the city and going to some of the restaurants you mention

My company is sending me to Toronto next month for 3 months to help out on a project.  Have been reading many of the posts and am excited about the clubs and opportunity to meet some new friends.  Doing some advance planning and need some recommendations on:
1. Any extended stay hotels / apartments downtown that would be convenient to clubs or public transit (would rather not stay where the company puts everyone)
2. Recommendations for someone older (40s) and athletic
3. Places to eat
4. Golf courses

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

Thought I'd help you out with some of your questions! :)

1. The most popular extended stay residence + hotel is One King West. The location is extremely convenient regarding all your partying and city traveling needs.

2. Don't know anyone in that age group to confidently recommend, sorry.

3. Sotto-sotto / best italian in toronto, Harbour 60 / the BEST steak, Scaramouche / toronto's best kept secret, Auberge Du Pommier / best french in the city, Ki / best japanese ...

4. I would view this website for all your golfing needs: http://www.golfcanada.com/golf-courses/toronto/

Hope that helps ;)

Hi Lax

I would second 1 King West as a convenient place to stay; Cambridge Suites is another option.

As for a more mature companion, I would recommend Ashley Croft or Veronica Sway, although I'm not sure of their exact age and they may be a bit younger than 40.

There are tons of great places to eat in Toronto! A few of my faves include Buca, Foxley, Libretto, Terroni, Harbour 60, Biermarkt, Weslodge, Rodney's Oysterhouse... IS there anything specific that you are looking for?

And golf courses: I've been to a few of the ClubLink courses, all of which were very nice: King Valley, Rocky Crest, and Lake Joseph. Let me know if you need a golf partner!

xoxo Charley

Being a foodie myself, i recommend volos. Its the best upscale and very authentic greek restaurant in toronto. I have been ther eover 4 times lol.
