I am in DC also and I frequent CL, I am also one of the few on here to caution those who are critical of CL ladies... However, I see all 3 of your reviews are of CL ladies. Dude, the first lesson you learn if you want to hobby on CL is never, ever go to a CL appt. without a plan B. Many, many of the ladies there overbook all of the time, that is the nature of the beast, that is just the way it is. Deal with it, have a couple of other numbers in your pocket, play their game. I have over 30 CL reviews, over half of them were Plan B, some even Plan C. LOL
OK. Here is a problem that I have that bugs the shit out of me! I call a provider and set an appt. You tell them what time you will be there and you get there on time. But when I get there, they don’t answer the phone! I call back several times, leave messages, and all that according to what the tell me to do when I get there, but they never answer or call back. I live in D.C. and this normally happens when I have driven 30 to 40 minutes to the outskirts of Maryland or Virginia to an appt. Sometimes I wait up to at least an hour, taking into consideration that the provider may have squeezed in another appt. while I was on my way. But after enough time has passed, I just move on. Normally I can tell when I am being sent to voicemail, or just totally ignored. Several times I give it one last call, but get no answer. Sometime I give it a test and call from a different number, and amazingly they pick up. But at that point, I have lost interest cause I it’s just a sign of disappointment to come and I don’t want to waste any more time or my doe.
So my question is to providers!!! Why do you do that shit! Why set an appt if you don’t intend on keeping it. I realize there may be some skepticism with some callers if they are not answering the questions right; but why not just say you are not interested!?! Why make an appt. and have someone drive out to see you, WASTING GAS, to not answer the phone when they get there!?!?!?
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH GAS COST!?!
That is just not cool at all. Damn that pisses me off! And its normally the ones who claim they have soooo much to offer and are such nice and accommodating people n their ads!

Is this happening with well reviewed ladies in your area, or are you taking your chances with lightly or non-reviewed ladies from Eros or CL that have pretty pictures? In my experience, this almost never happens, and the few times it did happen, I received a call within the hour, with explanations and apologies, and was able to meet with them either later that evening, or the next day. But, I tend to see only well reviewed ladies with a presence on TER...
As for your rant, chill. I see you have three reviews with ladies that you enjoyed. If you are ruuning afoul w/ NCNS, why not concentrate on those ladies whom you have already had enjoyable experiences? Or, at the least, be ready to utilize them as plan B?
If it is happening all the time you need to re-think where you are looking for your dates. I have had the problem you describe in the past when I was using Craig's List all the time. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a problem with NCNS when using a well reviewed provider from TER.

I agree, if you are going to roll the dice with CL it's crucial to have a back-up plan. I use CL when I travel and I pretty much see out call ladies only. I have waited for two or three hours past the appointment on more than one occasion and also contacted ladies who were posting at midnight when another gal or two...or three no-showed.
Well I’m glad you guy’s checked out my reviews. Yes I do look for ladies with nice picture, and really hope that it is them, and not LE. I’m always looking for the hottest girls possible at that time. Just a personal preference, or “weakness” should I say of mine.(LOL) I just found out about TER a couple of months ago, and I haven’t spent enough time on here to know who is well reviewed and who’s not. Most of my hobbying is spontaneous and not very planned out in advance. If I got a few hours before work, or I get off work early; so CL has been the quickest and easiest solution for me during crunch time. I usually find a wireless connection somewhere, or check on my phone, and see who has the most recent post. And then “roll the dice” like someone said! No, NCNS do not happen to me all the time. But it has happened a few more times than I would have liked it to. Usually with the ones that I really wanted to see. (LOL) As far as a plan B, or C. for me it’s just my next pick from the list of girls I’ve called that day. CL is not so bad if you know what to look out for. I’m not an “expert” like WildTurkey, (LOL) but, aside from the NCNS’s, I’ve got CL figured out, and I have had pretty good experiences with CL girls, as you can tell from my reviews. Unfortunately, those girls aren’t always available because two of them travel, together! If you read all my reviews, you can tell which two. And the local girl does not post all the time, or is unavailable a lot of times. But you can best believe they are my first choices to call when I get the urge. I just met a great provider last week from CL that I will be writing a review for soon. Look out for it.
Thanks for tips, but now that I have received some responses from the guys POV, I would like to hear some from some of the Providers.

I have had to cancel a few appts last minute, due to car trouble, sick kids, mother nature but I have always called to cancel and offer to reschedule.
Planning ahead can help to curve this issue of yours. The real trouble is you are asking us, the ladies here, and most either do not post on CL any more, or rarely or never have and we for the most part are reviewed and the ladies in question you speak of , do not screen well I'd guess cause they can fit you in last minute, they are probably Not reviewed and most likely not here to read your post. Its almost like asking a room full of people why they do whatever, when they are not in any way involved in the issue of what your question is about. Yes we are all in the same business more or less but Our practices may be very very different. Try to plan ahead or like you said, roll the dice. It's called gambling for a reason, its risky in more ways than one. Good luck.

You're obviously enjoying the games. If you really wanted to see a gal who doesn't NCNS, you'd visit Nicole, me, or one of the other ladies who has been reviewed.
It's cool that you like the risk involved, but why are you complaining? You CHOOSE to make plans with ladies who haven't proven themselves to be reliable. When one makes that decision, one will experience NCNS. That's why providers screen. Our time is worth money and we refuse to take the chance that you take.
Nope, not enjoying the games at all. It’s is rather irritating actually. Thanks for your concern! It’s obvious that I am asking the wrong crowd of people about this issue judging from the responses I’m getting. But again, I am new to TER as I stated before, and I have only been here a couple of months now. So well review providers were not an option for me before. But I can say this, all the girls I’ve reviewed and had the best times with, were girls who I “rolled the dice with,” and they all just happen to be well reviewed as well.
Thanks for the offer of service, but Nicole in Boston, and even you in Hampton is a little far for me to travel for hobbying. Besides, no offense, but you are definitely not my type, if you can tell by the girls I’ve dated! So being well reviewed doesn’t make you a prime prospect for me.
My issue is simply, this. When the screening process is done and the appt. is set, it’s kind of F’ed up for a NCNS. Especially if it’s an in call. Outcall I could care less about cause the only thing wasted is time.

Indeed, you learned a hard lesson, but not about CL - about TER.
You came to TER asking an innocent question - What drives the thinking that causes some girls to schedule, confirm, and then not show up and not answer your call? And then, if you call from a different number, they usually pick up!?!
TER has no patience for these types of questions. Instead of answering (or trying to answer) the question, they immediately started blaming you for not selecting a highly-reviewed provider.
Mike, I know that you understand the differences between CL and TER, and you went into your CL appointment with your eyes open about the risks. I am not going to berate you for not selecting a TER girl - just like you, I have often found gems on CL that for whatever reason were not listed on TER. In addition, CL tends to better serve the more immediate need. TER girls have websites, calendars, and booking forms, none of which helps us when we're horny NOW! If you want an appointment in an hour or two, not a day or two, CL meets that need better than TER (in general - there are exceptions of course). So in a nutshell, the same behaviors that lead CL girls to having short-term availability, sometimes bites us in the ass with NCNS.
What probably happened? After making your appointment, she got an offer from a customer she already knew, so she took that. Or, her girlfriends called wanting to get together and have drinks, so she decided to do that instead. Or, she intentionally double-booked, and the other guy got to her location before you.
I can only assume in your ignorant remarks when you talk about 'they' you are including me, I suggest you go back and read my post.
And as far as your 'lesson' of trying to teach the difference between TER and CL ladies, dude that is like trying to explain the difference between a German Shepard or Collie and a dog. CL is an ad site where many different ladies post an ad, TER is a review board of ALL ad sites. In many, many instances the ladies are one and the same. Your trying to distinquish a difference and 'label' providers is pure ignorance.
When I look at the reviews I see the ads posted from CL, Eros, Cityvibe, even Preferred 411 and DateCheck. What the heck are we going to do when a new review goes up on TER and the ad is CL and she has an ad on Preferred411. What the hell do we label her, a TERCL-411? Was she a 'CL appt.' or a 'TER appt.'? The ignorance to your analysis and 'labeling' ladies just goes on and on.
Before you start trying to knock others around here and being so critical, maybe you should take a hard look at yourself.

Your posting, and BostonGuy's reply, are pretty much in agreement with mine. You also use CL, and accept the risk of an occasional NCNS for the chance to meet someone new.
However, look at Jane and Nicole's reply. Those are the type of answer I typically see on this board, when discussing CL girls, and those answers are where my post was targeted.
And you still didn't attempt to answer Mike's original question! Want to give that a try?

One of the points made over and over on this board is that the money spent on a VIP membership is money well spent. Another point: paying for P411 or Date-Check is money well spent. Separating the wheat from the chaff requires certain tools and CL postings is one of the less reliable tools.
I do not think asking a general question as you did of the masses when if you had used tools on ter to check her out, chances are you would not be in that situation in the first place. Go ask a question like this on CL if thats where you have the problem. And by generalizing your question directed at woman in this biz you are labeling.
I know plenty of woman here who also have never done a ncns all reviewed and reliable, so why would you think I or someone like me could answer your question? I have no clue.
