Am I missing something here?? No discussion of services but the guy had an envelope with donation in his posession and was arrested??? We do this so often, hell I even pickup a nice Hallmark card sometimes. Is this total bs or did he leave out the juicy details?

I was busted last month when I met with a GFE provider for incall at a hotel in LAX...When I got to the hotel and knocked on the room number, guess who opened the door and was waiting for me?...LAPD...The provider was a snitch for LAPD and they'll sucker you into thinking you'll be meeting a provider for a happy ending...Instead, the provider will snitch against you and when the LAPD searched me and found the envelope with the donation $$$...I was arrested on the spot cause they said there was enough evidence eventhough I NEVER once mentioned or asked anything explicit or graphic...

1) You made an appointment with a known provider
2) You arrived at the appointed time and place
3) You were carrying your donation in a separate envelope (that implies intent)
Cops aren't stupid and they had every right to arrest you. But remember that's all it was - an arrest. Not a conviction. You need to get a good lawyer who can blow holes in their case. That's what they do best.
I went to an attorney when I decided to escort to find out the laws. I wasn't getting it/what you're saying til my lawyer broke it down like this:
Pretend you just had a flat tire, standing on the highway waiting for a tow truck to arrive. LE stops by and arrests you for soliciting. A misdemeaner in my state. Of course I'm not soliciting, but that's not their problem is it?
Now, I go to jail, find a lawyer and get out of jail. Either way they just cost me 3K minimum if I want to fight it and keep it off my record. For a misdemeaner, that's not a bad punishment in itself.
LE can arrest anyone they want to.
How he phrased things doesn't matter. What he was trying to arrange does. If the lady says what she offers and all you say is "I'd like that," the case is solid. A case where neither side is so specific will be harder for the DA to win, but if the circumstances make it clear what everyone had in mind then a jury will have enough to convict. The defendant can argue that the evidence is ambiguous, but ambiguous evidence does not prevent an arrest or a prosecution.

It doesn't make a diff if you go to them, or if they come to you, if the lady in question is working for the police... does it?

Let me correct you. We all take a risk period!!! As long as this buisness continues to stay illegal, we all take risks, it doesn't matter what side of the fence, whose turf etc...its a risk no matter what.. I have had clients for years and they turn bad, because it becomes comfortable whatever the case is. You dont know when or who will change the situation.
Even if the buisness was legal there is still risk facotrs involved for both parties.
Especially if fear plays into it from previous experiences, it clouds ones judgement or not.
BB..In reading your scenario..by simply knocking on a door and someone busting you..will never hold in a court of law. There must be more facts to this..as someone in theory could have simply knowcked on the wrong door.
Did you enter..What was said..any money exchanged..etc.
If you were simply busted for what you said..this will never hold up.
I suggest you get yourself a good experience attorney who can go over the facts piece by piece and then can look over the case facts that the DA will have during discovery.
the COPS show has girls talk to guys over phone and agree for FS for a price and THEN they come to the hotel.
it is perfectly legal for a guy to give a girl money to help out with the bills.
I would avoid putting gift on the envelope or sealing it...
just discreetly have it out in the open and excuse yourself to the bathroom while the girl checks it out (do this w/ a girl that has reviews)
I think some of it depends on the type of ad you're responding to... ie: responding to an ad that is clearly offering prostitution might be enough without anything else. I've heard of similar situations for ladies, not so often for gents though!

I think it's either BS, or he's leaving out some details, like maybe a recorded telephone conversation where illegal activities were discussed. I'm certainly no fan of the LAPD, but they're not stupid. If they went through this much trouble to make a bust, they would not just answer the door and say "You're Busted" they would at least allow him to say or do something incriminating on tape to give the DA a stronger case. Any first year law student could get this guy off based on the facts as presented. Personally I think the story is either BS, or incomplete at best.

For the envelope, just get and use one of the envelopes of the type a bank teller gives you (with your money inside it) when you cash a check. Then the is a plausible explanation for why you have an envelope with cash in it. Its better than a plain white envelope (who ever puts cash in a letter envelope except hobbiest).
Also, when you lay it on table/desk, put your tie/belt beside it - thereby naturally looks like you were just emptying your pockets before disrobing for a massage.
Course if you start asking for explicit services in exchange for $ this won't help, but provides a plausible story if you are busted before things get to that.
