Could LE ruin your life? Sure they can.  The hobby is not without risks but posting on a message board is the least of your worries. Do your research well, be discrete and only see ladies who are the same and you will have much less to worry about.

Extremely low.  Even if the membership info was subpoened, I doubt it would affect you.  There are thousands of registered members here.  Who do do you think would care enough to rummage through the records looking for you, even if they were available.  

Unless you have a very high profile career or hold a sensitive position in government I doubt you have much to worry about.

But it all depends on what you're comfortable with.

Thanks all for the feedback.  Unfortunately, I did pay for my membership with Credit Card.  After examining my profile, I realize that there is not much there to ID me.  I will continue to be as cautious as practical and accept the fact this hobby in not risk free but the risks are manageable.

You just had a fantastic first time experience, and decided to get paranoid, rather than enjoy the afterglow?  Deciding implies thought on your part, and you are going down the wrong track.  LE almost certainly won't expend the dollars or resources to track down little ole you, so stop worrying...they have much bigger fish to fry.  So, enjoy that afterglow as you should...mine lasted for three weeks, and I enjoyed every minute of it, and BTW, I let the lady know that!  They like to hear that, and will want to see you again (and it's more fantastic the next time!)

Re: It's my understanding that the actual business end of

the site is in Europe, so it's extremely difficult, and highly impractical (nothing is impossible), for local LE to get the records.  Then they would have to cross reference through either email or CC accounts, which would require specific and individual subpoenas per registered member based on a supposed law being broken, which wouldn't apply here.

The Spitzer files were obtained pursuant to an active criminal investigation regarding the agency.  Registering for a site like this is not a crime that I know of.

In short, relax and enjoy your experience.
