As others have said, when you go to Acct. Mngr. each review should have a short explanation why it was unapproved and the blue box should say edit so you can click on it and correct. Unless of course the explanation is that you cannot submit a review on that particular lady (you both are new, she is delisted, etc.) If no explanation is given then just click on Review Questions to the left and ask specifically why that review was rejected they will repsond back.

The main point is to take care of each problem on at a time, to just send a vague question expecting them to give you a personal class on how to write reviews probably is not going to happen. Good luck!

I have searched for and read previous posts on this topic. The gist seems to be that I need to keep writing TER asking them what I need to do to have my reviews approved.

I've pasted a copy of the email I just sent to TER below.

Is there anything else you would recommend to help my reviews get published? I want to support the ladies who have provided me with awesome service and inform members about providers who might not be as great as advertised (which is, fortunately, the minority of providers in my experience).

TIA,

Troy

My Email to TER:

I've spent a lot of time reading through the review guidelines, reading experienced members' reviews, and writing three detailed reviews, which as far as I can tell comply with the instructions.

All three have been Unapproved.

What do I need to do to have my reviews approved? This is quite discouraging.

A recent policy change in the review approval process is that a review by a "first time" reviewer such as yourself is not allowed on a "new" provider who has no previous reviews.

What is the reason given for them being unapproved in the "My reviews" section of your "Account manager"?

wrong.  You can do this by including a link to the review (open it in "account manager" and copy the link from your IP address bar).  You should do it through the "contact us" feature rather than a straight email.  When you get an answer, you can ask to correct whatever they want you to, or ask further questions in response to their feedback, creating a string of conversation through that feature.

I have found that they are very helpful, and will usually tell you what you need to do, but you should be patient as (I think) some of the responders are in Europe, which causes some delay in answering.  Do this for each review separately.

Good luck

You can also click on "Account Manager," then click on "My Reviews" on the left side. It'll then bring up all the reviews you've submitted and their status. If one is "unapproved," click on Edit and see what's wrong. It may be that the review is missing some small piece of required info, or has an expired website. When you get all the errors corrects, go to the bottom and click "Submit."

Thank you each for your very helpful replies! I will do exactly as you suggest. My motto now is, "Patience and polite persistence will win the day." ;)

All the Best,

Troy

Below is my correspondence with TER, including a reply I just wrote based on the feeback you guys were so nice to give me.

Let me know if you think I should include anything else or if my reply is consistent with the advice you guys have offered me.

Thanks! :O)

You can check the status of your reviews at any time from your account manager.  If a review was not approved a reason will be listed there.

Thank you for the support,

MY MESSAGE TO TER - 09 July 2008 - 13:45 EDT
--------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I am aware of that feature and I had checked the reason for the rejection. But I'm not clear on what I can do to write an acceptable review. For example, in response to this review:

http://www.theeroticreview.com/account_manager/viewReview.asp?ID=757159

the reason given is:

"From time to time we choose not to post reviews from users with limited history at TER."

Thus, it seems that in order to have my reviews approved, I need to develop more history with TER. I assume you are referring to writing more reviews. But that seems to be a classic Catch-22 in that I cannot write more reviews if none of them are approved, therefore, I cannot establish history, which in turns insures that none of my reviews will be approved.

Or perhaps you mean something else by "history with TER"? Do you mean simply the length of time I have been a member? If so, may I suggest that you advise new VIP members that their reviews will probably not be approved until after they have been a member for one month or three months or whatever the criterion is?

Perhaps you mean more than simply the length of time one has been a member. Do you also look at how many times a member has read reviews; posted on the forums; visited the site; etc.?

Again, if this is the case, it would be very helpful to know these criteria in advance. Otherwise, new VIP members like myself might end up with a negative feeling about the site and cancel our memberships. That doesn't help anyone of course, since you lose revenue, other members lose the insights an active VIP member can provide, and the quality providers lose business the come from positive reviews.

Thank you for listening and I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Troy

END OF MESSAGE

While I think it would be better for TER to inform members upfront about this policy, I am grateful that they responded quickly with a specific, logical answer to my question.

Here is the policy in a nutshell--this is my interpretation, not an official TER policy statement:

************************************************
The longer you are a member and the more active you are as a member, the greater your chances of having a review approved. Activity includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the number of times you visit the site; number of reviews you have read; number of times you have posted on the discussion forums; and number of reviews you have submitted (even if they are not approved).
************************************************

I base my interpretation on my correspondence with TER, what long-time members have reported on the discussion forums; and the response I received from TER today (below). Please read my post immediately before this one for the previous correspondence.

Here is TER's reply:

History at TER is a composite of all of the categories that you have inquired about and also includes total number of reviews submitted.  So even when a review is not approved you are building history with TER.

Thanks for making this information available.  I am new and just submitted my first review which was rejected with an identical explanation.  I will keep reviewing (is there a downside to getting the review informaiton :) ) and be patient.

Just make sure your first 3 or 4 are on ladies who already have reviews, then you should have no problem.

It may be with all the attention the hobby is getting from high profile cases, that TER is being cautious about new members.  If so, I hope that acceptable reviews may only be put on hold while the new member gains enough participation points to have all reviews posted.

I'd surely resubmit valid reviews in a month or 2.
