'll be at Heinz Field as always...when they win it allows for a more enjoyable drive home!

If there is one maddening thing about Mike Tomlin's Steelers, is that they have mastered the art of playing to their competition. Give them a crappy team (say at the time the 1-4 Dolphins or the 3-4 Ravens) and expect the Steelers to struggle mightily (I write this last statement with dread thinking of next week's match-up against the 0-10 Browns).  But give them a good team, such as the 7-1 Cowboys, and you can expect a solid performance from them.  Heck, they were only down 20-16 to the Pats in the 4th Quarter without Big Ben a few weeks ago.

Not rocket science here. Defensively, the Steelers are going to have to somehow slow down the Cowboys running game and make Prescott make some plays down the field. Dallas has utilized a  perfect formula so far: Rely heavily on their massive offensive line (easily the best in football), run the ball for about 150 yards a game, and put Prescott in a position to make simple throws when he has to.  Offensively, if the Steelers can put up north of 24 plus points, it should force Prescott into a much more aggressive/riskier game plan. He's still only 8 games into his NFL career...put the game in his hands and hope he makes rookie mistakes. If Prescott beats you, then tip your hat and move on to the next week.

As always, may the Football Gods continue to shine brightly on the Black and Gol

Steel Curtain will put a hurtin' on the Cowboys this Sunday.

Score 31-20

he Steelers of the 70's (heck, even the 2005-2010 teams) must cringe watching this pathetic defensive unit try and make key stops. Week after week after week they give up huge plays. These ultimately are the difference in the game. You can't compete doing this all the time.

At some point the defense has to become relevant. They don't pressure the QB as in years past which in turn will expose their mediocre secondary. The LB's are average at best (Shazier would be the one exception if he were consistently healthy) and aren't anywhere near being dominant. Overall, they don't have good players on that side of the ball... Maybe some of it is that they have been transitioning over the past several years from the Dick LeBeau's  3-4 defense, to Tomlin's more conservative Cover 2. But then that falls on the Steelers scouting department/GM to find the right players.

There is a limitation to what Big Ben and the offense can do. Scoring with under 50 seconds left to take the lead should be sufficient enough to secure a victory. It wasn't because the defense is a sieve
