I guess I had the wrong impression. Somehow I had gotten to idea that they were pretty wild get-togethers.

Are there any such guys (lawyers, doctors, psychologists, dentists, etc.) that feel safe in attending them? What are the precautions?

Take off your work ID badge, pick up a drink and mingle.

When I run a Meet and Greet, I take every precaution to make sure my attendees are as secure and anonymous as they wish to me.

Men that attend my Meet and Greet's are from many walks of life.  I am proud to say that the atmosphere I create and the security precautions that I take make EVERYONE feel very comfortable.

I'll second that. Kelly throws a hell of a party, and attracts the nicest people in Chicagoland.

There are many, if not most, white collar workers who do not require or have a professional license that can be taken away, by the state, if s/he is found guilty of a misdemeanor or felony. And, if said license is taken away s/he no longer can practice their profession, which leads to severe loss of income, and all the repercussions that go with it. This question is not about "class or status."

Most M&G's are nothing more than a cocktail party between friends.
Nothing of an illegal nature is, or should, be taking place at the party.
Therefore, there is no reason for anyone to fear being in a situation where one would be "busted".

As a host, I have made it quite clear what will, and what will not, be acceptable behavior at a party I was hosting. And if anyone got out of line, they would be asked to leave.

But as I said, most M&G's are nothing more than a simple cocktail party between friends, no different than an office party or reunion party.
There should be no reason for anyone to be worried about "being busted and losing their license".

some of them can be, but there are alot of people, myself included, that believe a classy, casual, cocktail type atmosphere is a much better party to do. A relaxed atmosphere to meet some new friends and greet some old ones, but in a casual, non-"business" like way.
Of course, what goes on afterwards at any "after parties" is a completely different story. But the M&G party itself should be a reasonably unobtrusive and quiet event.
At least that's my philosophy, and it has worked so far.

I'd love to have you come to our Tampa October Soiree'.

I'll show you what a classy event a M&G can be.

Last time I was in Tampa was back in the mid-seventies. I was impressed with how clean the airport was. Didn't get a chance to socialize since it was a business trip, repairing some heavy equipment along the causeway.

Or, do I post my interest here or on the L.A. board? Or, are there other ways to find one and attend?

They're not called 'orgies' - they're called 'meet and greet' for a reason;  the men act like gentleman and the ladies are treated as such.

It's socializing only, at least for those I've attended - just an opportunity for guys to see who they may 'click' with or who is appealing to them, and perhaps see at some other time.

That being the case, no one's doing anything illegal nor is solicitation occuring and there should be no worries about getting 'busted'.

nothing of an "illegal" activity should not be taking place. At least this is how Florida holds their meet and greets.

Last week the Orlando meet and greet took place with HUGE success.  I was one of the hostesses and we had no issue at all.

Our location was classy and fun and the folks knew our screening process was pretty thorough prior to and AT the party.  Many that attended, esp. those ladies that were from out of town, were thrilled with our screening and felt very comfortable attending.  NOT one individual said anything negative. We provided a fun and classy atmosphere for all.

Check out the thread on the Florida board of those that attended and they will testify to the fun that was had by all!!!!

It's a party.  What can they (LE) arrest you for?  Hanging out and partying?  After having attended now about a dozen of these, I can say that hobby related M&G's are what they are...cocktail parties just the same as any other of dozens that occur in every city in the USA on any given day.  Properly screened, attending these are minimal risk.  If you are a licensed professional worried about losing such, I would be more worried about getting nailed for DUI on the way home, getting caught in a strip club raid, or something else entirely...

it not being on the P&R board, though I'm wondering which is safer, being a Republican the Democratic convention or a Democrat at the Republican convention. Maybe neither. lol

I haven't read the replies so if I am repetitive my apologies but I attend M&G's. I use to be a provider now own a company and do photography. I know many lawyers and doctors who attend these things. Here anyway. Met them myself and had them as clients. No one is gonna get busted unless someone says yea she gave me head for X amount. Which also means the guy gets busted for solicitation too. Its not just the chick that gets the bad end of the stick on that one. To my knowledge no one can do anything unless these things happen. And I'm sorry you boys might think with the wrong head sometimes but none of you are that stupid...
