The Colts problem is that they never built the team around Luck

heir offensive line is horrible. Protect the franchise (which is Luck) at all costs. That should have been their FIRST major investment. But they never have. Secondly, after reaching the AFC title game in 2014 against the Pats (but don't worry; Deflategate still lives on) , they thought they were a player away from SB success. So they brought in a few veterans (Johnson, Gore) to put them over the top...Problem was they weren't that close and last year was a mitigated disaster (even if Luck doesn't go down)  Their defense continues to be a sieve.

Luck is a special player. I can't remember a QB, other than Marino, who just came into the league and was a star from Week 1. (heck even Peyton went 3-13 to start his career).  But if they don't start building a complete team around him, the Colts are going to waste his prime years.

I don't watch enough Colt games to tell you if Pagano can or can't coach... The GM, however,  needs to construct a more complete roster

At least tickets will be easy to get.

t's one of the hardest things to do for mediocre teams...finish games. An above average football team, with a 21 point second half lead would have long put the game away. San Diego has to learn how to play with a lead and not let a team off the proverbial mat.

But if we learned anything from last year, the Chiefs are certainly resilient. They were 1-5, and then won 10 straight games to close out the regular season before winning a playoff game. So you know they won't quit.

Poor Phillip Rivers. He has every bit as much talent as Big Ben and Eli (the two other guys from his draft class whose careers his is tied to) but over the years those guys have had much better teams around them. It's why they each have 2 SB rings and Rivers has only made one AFC Championship game..
