In New York., the business has slowed down.

Does anyone know why has the escort business been so slow lately? The business started to slow down in the middle of August. It is November and the business is still very slow. You hardly get any calls. Do you think that the business has slowed down just because of the economy or is there any other reasons why you think the escort business has slowed down?

IF it's true that the business has slowed down, I would think a reason, not necessarily the reason, is that the number of providers has increased while the number of customers has stayed the same.  The lure is lots of easy, untaxed money, short hours and only a couple of days per week.

Where else can a normal person earn $10,000 a month for one day's time per week?  And no tax which is equivalent to a 25% bonus.

Another possibility is that prices have risen beyond the levels of just a couple of years ago.  $400 + seems to be the standard number which is pretty rich for an hour of almost anything.

A third possibility is that the regulars do get bored after a time.  Some guys really love the ladies; see those with 60 and 70 reviews.  Even so, those are usually over several years.  60 reviews over 3 years isn't even twice per month.  Many others get tired after a few times or feel guilty or need the money for family or many other things.

As to the business slowing down, I note that PC "discounts" its $500 girls down to $300 almost every day.  Apparently, never on Friday though.  Even PC isn't filling up its schedule and PC has a great selection of real beauties.

Remember, you can only review the same provider once so even if a guy has 60 reviews he's probably seen providers hundreds of other times.

A client is allowed to post a review of the same lady twice. There have been two or three gents who have posted 2 reviews of me here on TER.

From TER review rules:

8) You may also submit an update on a provider that you have already reviewed. We will replace your old review, but you won’t be credited for an additional 15 days. Your new review must be a complete rewrite that adds something new to the experience in order for it to replace the old one.

i agree Plus if you do not do everything sometimes we look for someone who will and there are so many who will

For large firms, $300 to $500 for an experienced partner.

In L.A., solos with 10 or more years, anywhere from $200 (low side) to $350 (high side)

Not as much as people think and frequenlty they do NOT get paid.

In which City do you think it has slowed down? I can think of a few where it seems to be picking up.

It's slowed down in San Francisco and Seattle as well.

Then again I'm a one-a-day lady...
though I haven't noticed a change all year.

Just a guess; clients' discretionary funds are being eaten into by inflation, particularly double digit health care insurance premium increases, while providers' rates seem to have almost doubled in the past 2-3 years.
