She really is one of the pioneers responsible for taking women's college basketball from its infancy and turning it into the multi million dollar business that it is today.  

Sure Geno Auriemma will break all her coaching records, and he'll probably go down as the greatest women's college basketball coach of all time (and rightfully so for his work at UCONN). But considering how Summit started and that she had to build a program in an era where women's college basketball was looked down upon, her legacy is really beyond reproach.

Just saw on ESPN that Coach Summitt passed away at age 64. A tremendous loss for college basketball and the Tennessee sports family.
