I'm kinda a newbie to this, but I wanted to know how do I ask about fees, I've been trying to hook up with someone on craigslist, I've sent an email asking about looks, time and $, she answered all my questions except how much charged, Maybe she forgot or am I not supposed to ask this?, How am I supposed to find out, is there supposed to be some code words or what
I am also curious about this question from an escort point of view for safety purposes. If an escort recieves a call for an appointment, and the client on the other line of the phone askes for hourly rates. How should she answer him on the line. Should she give her rates over the phone or not, and why? The client has to know how much money he has to bring when he comes for the appointment. I would also like to know if she does incall in her apartment, should she give him her address of where the incall is or somewhere close by the area and make him call by a pay phone when he gets to that certain area? What do you suggest she do for both of these situations? Someone please answer!

With all due respect to sidone, I think his or her statement assumes too much for a premise. We lawyers cannot assist with the commission of a crime. However, we can advise people as to their legal rights. If it is legal for a person to hold herself out as an "escort" and it is legal for a person to retain an escort, then why would it be illegal for the person seeking an escort to ask what the escort charges? The only relevant prohibition I am aware of in my jurisdiction is that which prohibits an agreement involving the exchange of sexual services for money.
Why take chances on meeting a girl on CL?????????????????? Most of them don't have websites at all where you can see a pic/rates, are NOT reviewed, are NOT reputable. Why not stick with a review board where you know basically what you are getting upfront?????
