You've been smart enough to find your way to TER...  Read back several pages especially on the Newbie board, a couple on the others.  I've only been at this a couple of years and I have learned so much by reading here.  Have you got VIP yet...  if you can afford to hobby, you have to step up & get the tools.  VIP, a hobby phone, secure e-mail.  You have to understand the way the approach is made so as to be discrete but safe.

With VIP you can run just the name and then clear it & run just the phone #.  See if there are any reviews.

I'll say that "everyone" takes a chance sometimes...  but it's just not smart for a newbie.  At least a well reviewed lady (and you need to read the reviews yourself) is not LE, and you stand some chance of "delivered as promised".  That does not guarentee chemistry but avoids so many pit falls:  rip offs, up sells, under performnance, bait & switch, out of date pictures.

I'm brand new here and seeking advice on my first time.  I don't live in an area with any providers. (There is one on CL and she ain't pretty).  I have a trip planned and found a provider I am interested in seeing.  However the provider seems to be new, no reviews other than those on her own site.  I've asked about her on a local site, tons of views and no responses. This would be outcall to an upscale hotel.  Am I nuts if I contact this "unknown" verse one of the reviewed ladies?

Yes.  Get yourself verified (do a search on this board for different options) and see a well reviewed lady near you.  Most guys here will say no reviews on TER = no visit. Otherwise it's called TOFTT.

But you certainly are taking a risk. I love to venture into the unknown just for the sport of it, but yours sounds even a little too risky for me. When you say outcall to an upscale hotel I assume you mean your hotel, be prepared for a 'cash and dash'.

If there are no providers in your area, why would you take a chance when your opportunities to hobby seem to be limited? Look around some more, try to go with someone you may have more than a shot in the dark's chance to have a great time with (afterall, that is the ultimate goal). If you decide to go ahead anyway, my only advice would be to be mentally prepared for a letdown and don't get pissed off if you get ripped off.  Humm, maybe I should be a poet. LOL

Where are you? Maybe a lady lives closer to you than you think?
I myself live about 75 miles from Madison, and about a hundred or so from the Quad cities. I am more than willing to travel. As long as the umm...situation is right. ;)

If you have enough time before your trip, try to find another lady in the same area, who does have reviews. She may also be a little more experienced with the new guys. You don't want your first encounter to turn out badly. The new ladies deserve their chance as much as we do, but you may want to save that for later.

If you don't have time to re-plan before your trip, you may want to consider waiting until the next oppportunity.

You should do your homework & find a well reviewed provider. Stay away from CL unless you are a big risk taker & want to TOFTT or meet a LE. You can usually minimize your disappointments & risks with a well reviewed provider. It has worked well for me thus far.... Good luck & write a review afterward.

Not all providers with out reviews are duds or rip offs. We just haven't had dates with gents who write reviews. What I do to help ease the paranoia of a gent who contacts me is to let him ask as many questions about me as he likes via emails until he feels secure that I'm not LE. I offer to meet him briefly in a public place so he can see I am the lady in my pics. Maybe this provider would be willing to meet you prior to your date. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for the advice.  Yes there are providers closer to me (90 minutes), however I am going to be in a particular area for several days and got a wild hair to take the plunge while I'm vacationing. There aren't many recent reviews for providers doing outcall in that area.  And I happen to find myself attracted to this new provider.  I think I will follow Joy's advice and make contact.  And from what I've been reading on these boards, there is a chance that this provider could have a review up soon, before I am in her area, which would definately help. :)  Thanks again everyone.

I worked for 20 years with no reviews and I know I have always treatead my friends fairly. Everyone does have to start somewhere and a few never make it to TER by choice. These providers do not want reviews.

Be careful and don't meet in a public place. More chance of a sting for you. My thought is that LE will not make a bust on a guy in a nice hotel but they would bust an escort that way. No, LE is not your big problem but getting ripped of or a no show is. Novice and Pro do this often for the thrill of the hunt.

Keep things light and move quickly to make it more comfortable for the two of you. Those quiet moments can be a killer. Remeber you have no reviews so there are no real rules to go buy and no real expectations to have. Don't ask questions about services or money as this would spook any newbie never mind the pro. Let things happen as they will with a little help from your friend. You can start with a kiss and see if she responds and from there just move on in as you would any lady you desired. I like this approach myself.

If she doesn't kiss! Guess it's her game. She will let you know the rules and you will follow. Those rules can be a real deal breaker but for a first time experience it will do. Next step is to let us know how you made out and write that first review for the two of you.

Talk to her on the phone and ask if you can meet in a public place first.  Buy her a drink, talk to her, an if it seems okay, go have fun.  Make sure you pay her for the extra time you spent getting to know her.
