We deserves the best!!! A legend!!!

Will he be a first ballot HOF'er ??  My opinion is yes.  Just curious chime in..

He is a three time league MVP (only Peyton has earned more), had a ridiculous consecutive starting games streak (started every game from 1993 to week 14 of 2010), passed for over 70,000 yards (which is 10,000 yards more than 3rd place holder Dan Marino). Even at age 40 for the Vikings, he led them to a 12-4 record, threw for over 4,000 yards, and into the NFC Championship game.

Now you want to say he made some ridiculous throws at the worst possible times (interceptions against the Giants/Saints in Championship games cost his team trips to the SB)? Absolutely.  But that is part of what made him great... He was the classic gunslinger. Kept firing the ball no matter if his receivers were open or not.

He is as much a first ballot HOF player as you can possibly have.

Here's hoping the great Alan Faneca joins him!

No way to tell, but I'm sure he holds the record for most passes that shouldn't have been thrown.  And also most passes completed that shouldn't have been thrown.  First ballet for sure.   bigdell

He came to Green Bay from Southern Mississippi.  Unless you have been to Green Bay in January, you have no idea what it is like to play a game outside at that time of year; anything and everything outside is like cement.  Lakes are frozen over with three feet of ice--not at all like Mississippi.

Yet, Brett never complained about that; when asked, he simply said "I don't care how cold it is, this is my job".   And he often played hurt--quite hurt.  He NEVER gave up and was an inspirition to his team.  On the field, you couldn't have a better and more confident team-mate.

Off the field, who cares?
