sam bradford was JUST talking about looking forward to playing in the same system for more .than one year

btw this could pave the way for your redskins to take control of the NFC East but  I would never make any prediction on that. just have to wait and see.

Skins have had a solid year in a division where solid is good enough.  Kirk Cousins has been better than expected; once he stopped turning the ball over things gelled.  Philly and Chip were doomed with Demarco Murray went bust and none of his former players had anything good to say about him.   Philly has a lot of really good pieces and with a good coach could take it all.  What do think, an Andy Reid (who must be having a good laugh) type?  Sean Peyton?   They should stay away from college guys I think - unless Mark D'Antonio is available.  I think he'd be a real good fit for your Eagles but they probably won't go the college route.

I'd like to know what the players who were there the whole 3 yrs think of CK.  I wonder how different it was than any other new coach as many coaches don't have a winning record (regardless of talent) before getting fired.

Who should they hire? I have no clue but definitely not a retread. They need someone more like Todd Bowles or Bruce Arians and give him at least 5 yrs.

These owners get rid of head coaches way too fast these days. I'd give him 1 more year since this was his first year" shopping for the groceries" as bill parcels would put it.

He decimated that team with horrendous decisions from Maclin to McCoy to Desean Jackson to Evan Mathis.

For all of those players all he got back was a stiff in Kiko Alonzo.

That team was fine with him coaching it but they let a madman have control of the reins. I would be pissed if I were an Eagles fan

From a coaching perspective, Chip's three year run was not a mitigated disaster. He made the playoffs once, had two 10 win seasons, and still had the Eagles in position to make the post season this year as of a week ago. He finishes his coaching career with a respectable 26-21 record....We've seen far worse three year stretches from NFL head coaches.

But Chip Kelley the GM was a mitigated disaster. This year he was doomed to fail. He released/traded away too many talented players who had helped them win but whom Kelly felt didn't fit his scheme. Signing Demarco Murray was a mistake from the start and relying on an injury riddled Sam Bradford is bound to leave you with mediocre results. Even the best game plans and play calling will only take you so far in the NFL. At the end of the day, talent wins out.

The bottom line is that the Eagles roster lacks top tier talent. Chip thought he could win with average players who fit what he wanted to accomplish. It turns out he couldn't. That's all on Chip Kelly the GM.

I know I am asking for a post Christmas miracle, but may the football Gods shine brightly on the Black and Gold

than  last year.  On offense they lost their best wide receiver to injury and they were undefeated for 14 games scoring 30 points many times. Most teams have enough talent with their starters. (with the exception of the bottom 3 every year Cleveland, Jacksonville etc)

A team has to play like a TEAM to be good. All facets work together that is why the best teams are good every year. e.g. Pats, Steelers, Ravens, Seahawks .etc

It was allowing one of the best offensive lines to deteriorate by not addressing it for two full drafts and off season.

The Eagles also may have the worst group of WR's in football.

He should of never been given the power of GM for the team, as it showed he can not just plug people into his system like he did for Ducks and everything would workout for the best.
